Hello guys .. im from Crete/greece.. my head is gona blow from info's i've read the whole site for 2-3times or more .. I love cannabis and I think I am ready to grow a massive plant that I want to .. one question , I will by the 4th stage of supplies as gwe suggests and I want to known if its possible and safe for plant's to add another one 600w HPS and MH also .. i'm so happy to be here guys with you .. waiting for answers see you guys later

Hi Kostis, welcome to the forum and good luck with your first grow.
The more lights you have the more plants you can grow over a larger area. Cannabis loves light but if you are only growing a few plants there is a point at which the plant can't use all the light you're giving it (check out the GWE article on using light meters to maximize yield).

I grow with LED lights so I'm not an expert on HPS/MH but I'd recommend you get through your first grow with bare minimum equipment. Save your money until you have a bit more experience, and get a better idea of exactly how/what you want to grow.

I started with CFLs and photo period plants but now I'm all LED and grow only auto flowers.

Thanks a lot but I still want to take the risk .. you know in my country its illegal to grow and as I taking the risk I should make it worth you know .. :funny:

KOSTIS, Welcome to a great forum with cool people willing to share their experiences.

I share your enthusiasm for cannabis. To answer your question about adding more light, one must ask...how much space do you intend to grow in?

Take some more time to evaluate what you want. How much are you wanting to produce? What strains do you intend to grow? How big can you set up without drawing attention?

I get an idea and start thinking too fast, wanting to jump right in and figure it out as I go. That can work. But if you take the advice given here, your margin of error is way better.

So put together an idea of your goal and lots of ideas will flood your thread.
Cheers and good luck with your grow

Hi Kostis, 4x4x6.5 is a nice size to start with. It will handle 3 - 5 or more plants, depending on if they are auto or photo, container size, LST, scrog etc. How is your environment? You need fresh input air and a way to send hot exhaust air out of your space. Need temp and humidity control. I'm pointing this out because HPS typically runs hotter than LED and other lighting. If you can control the heat, a 600w HPS in a 4X4 is a nice setup and will flower a few plants. LED, LEC and other systems give you lots of options in a 4x4. Good Luck!

Thank you guys .. Im planning and decided for a 3 plant of GSC Girl Scout Cookie feminized from marrijuana-seeds.. and trained them with a topping

No Title

I have always done 3 plants in 5 Gallon in a 4x4. I use a strong 440 LED (350w at the wall in bloom and UVB mode). I average a little under 8 oz for the 3 plants in scrog. Check out a picture of my setup below. A friend did 1 plant in 10 Gallon in scrog under 600 w HPS and got 8 oz out of the plant. So, very close to same results. 3 may be a bit easier for first grow because if you run into one tough plant, you still have the other 2 to bail you out. If you grow one and have issues, you're impacting your whole yield.
