Here is my set up.
Used rapid rooters to start seeds. Light is a 400w hps/MH tent is 36x36x78 and a 6" inline fan. 2 water pumps, 2 air pumps with 4 air stones. General Hydroponics trio. 30 gal tote.

In a previous post I said I was using bag seed, that's true but the strain is known, for my last grow I had one ak47 female seed given to me, I pollenated it so that's the seed I started. Have G13 haze for next grow.
I started seed 11/28 and as of tonight 9 out of 10 are up. 10 is about broke thru.
I have my light 22 inches above top of tote and the temp at surface is 84 degrees. My fan moves 412 cfm but maybe I need a air cooled reflector. Anyway I'll post pics and updates every so often.

Here is the happy family, five days between the pics. The hydro really gives fast growth. After I upped the nuits the color is alot better, think they could stand a bit more but don't wanna rush it and burn them.

great start, I'm subscribed, AK 47 is my strain of choice. Nice set up, best of luck, play Tikas holiday card video, that should keep the thrips away.

How many do you plan on growing total in your space? You said u had nine come up. That's a lot for a smaller space and a 400w light?

Your seedlings obviously love what you're doing, they're growing fast!

Need advise. Do I need to worry about the color of these roots? I know you said in another post that they should be white. The tops of all 10 look good but a few have some brown roots.

The only time to worry is if you smell anything icy<--- my technical term for rotten. The roots start to stain the brown from the food so don't worry about that and be sure to use hydroguard for the protection it gives.

I counted 4 or more in the tub if you are going to move them do it now.

Just read 30 gallon tote those roots happy will go wild, one in a 10 gallon tub is insane but just right?

I think he is waiting for them to show sex before eliminating. Could he possible force them to show early and revert back to veg. I know you can do this with soil grow, not sure about a hydro grow.

That definitely looks like the beginning of root rot to me. If plants look good up top it hasn't progressed far at all, which is good! Did you recently change or sterilize your reservoir? Have you been using Hydroguard?

Bought the tote new for this grow, changed water once but I noticed it then. Used hydroguard since day one. Do you think I've got trouble brewing?

It could be crud from the hydroton. Did you rinse it real well before using it?

Is there any sediment in the bottom of the reservoir?
