1500 or 150w?

I was offered this light for a really good price. It's old and beat up but it's a really good price. Is this a 1500 watt light? Or a 150 watt light? That will determine whether I buy it or not

Figured it out. It's a 150 watt. So I'm going to put a metal halide in it and retire my blurple light. It's still an upgrade to my kit for.....oh not 80....I said 60. He said 65. We shook hands

Yes you have a mogul socket. Check to sure the contact is clean unplugged of course. It will be good for any ballast just make sure the bulb matches the ballast.

Might want to call the the socket manufacturer, but I believe that socket is good for 1500w or below.

Yes that was my assumption to I'm a Tech head. Don't worry I'll clean it up but it was a good deal for a garage find

These 150w HID are more heat than light ideal for winter shed grows in Canada ..lol

in a pinch you could have 4 over a SCROG/SOG to get an even penetration..lol maybe

IMO Better Value eleswhere

good luck

Just found a 600 for $9 more.
looks like a Chinese brand. Has anyone tried this?
I think for a hundred and ten bucks will get me started

A 600w light would be a waste in a 2x4... light would be hitting the walls on the 2 foot side. Not very efficient for the space given.

Yes, I tried I-power equipment before. It’s cheap and it doesn’t last very long. I would go for a more reputable company if equipment quality is of any concern.

Ok. Could you guys recommend some more reputable companies or an economical way to upgrade this light? I consider it an investment

I think a 250w HID would work with this space. Might need to add supplemental lighting for the 4 foot side of the tent.
Or you can get a 260w quantum board LED. Either or would be good for a 2x4.
