A curious mind wants to know. How is apical dominance affected if the apical bud is lower than the bud site of the secondary branch? I don't believe it will since auxins are only produced in the apical bud.

I have reviewed and used various training, pruning and topping techniques. My question focuses on the plant's growth response to other parts of the plant when the apical bud is topped and likewise when the secondary branches are topped.
