  • I did indeed get the e-mails. Of course I had to go check after hearing from you on here. Thanks again for letting us tag along on your trip. We both loved it!
    All my best brother
I hate to do this but based on past experience - beware of DesertDan He may be just fine and probably is... may just be me. But the last blow-up I had on GWE was a DesertDan episode. Led to me deleting more than 50% of my posts and throwing my hands up in despair. Your silver tongue would have probably come up with a better solution than just wanting to walk away

Hi Boss, Thanks for sharing the details and warning. I really enjoy exercising the "Silver Tongue" on GWE but I'm afraid of becoming just another "Loud Mouth" in the room. It's funny that the more I hang around the forum the more I come to understand the people involved. I like some of them more and more and others: Meh!

You are a truly valued friend and I trust your advice. I'll give DesertDan a wide berth along with a few others! Thanks for looking over my shoulder, I get ahead of myself sometimes and appreciate having a Guardian Angel.
Hey Buddy! Nice Avatar pic... but I think you forgot the ice-cycles dangling from the surfer. ;) I hope you have your Vaccine all lined up so you can go on vacation. I get mine Tuesday.
    Hang in there my friend.
I got your message in the inbox but for the life of me could not find a reply button so I am writing a new one.
I’m a very patient man and did not find a single thing wrong with your comment. In fact I did not harvest yesterday. I really do prefer the relaxed body effect due to my chronic pain. The other type seems to make me more aware of my pain. I know I need more amber even if the CBD is at its peak so I wait a couple days no problem. This is my first grow so all advice is appreciated.
Had I another place to dry I would be trying the partial harvest but I don’t so it will be a one harvest. It’s strange how there is so much more amber on the small leaves further down and less the higher it goes. I would have guessed it would have been the other way around.

    Thanks again.
    Cheers

Thanks, glad you took my comments in the spirit in which they were intended.

The amber color usually seems to appear on the leaves first then rises up towards the tops. Also, in my understanding the ratio of THC to CBD are already fixed based on your plant's genetics. So that ratio won't change in a late harvest. When you hit the peak potency it indicates the maximum amount of both THC & CBD. What will change during a Late Harvest is the conversion of THC to CBN. CBN is another compound that relaxes more than producing a high. I believe that conversion THC to CBN is what is reflected in the Amber coloration.

You have a beautiful grow going there and I'm sure you'll be well satisfied with the outcome. I'll stay tuned.

    Saludos.

This article answered my question on CBD potency and was the reason I decided to harvest a day after (day 66 of 60-67 flower). The popcorn buds I cut on day 58 to test this past Sunday were great. Still a bit wet, but quickly dried in the firefly. Man even those itty bitty buds take quite some time to dry enough to work in my grinder. I can’t wait for the harvest to cure over the next months.

I got this message today. When you have the time can you reupload a fixed version that correctly lists cbn not cbg? Let me know when the corrected version is up and I will fix my links as needed. Than you very much my friend.

    cbg or cbn

Hi BU2B, I have very much enjoyed reading and following your process. I harvested the end of Nov 4.5 oz from my micro monsters and I have a new crop in week 7, my first growing from a healthy start.
I've helped my husband for years but never until now (with the little monsters) but never managed all the decisions.

Reading the PDF I noticed on page 19 you talk about amber trichomes causing couch lock and named the cannabinoid, cbg but I think you meant cbn. They're on the opposite ends of the cannabinoid spectrum.

Thanks again for your work, it's been very helpful,
    Gracey
