Our state just legalized recreational use and I am able to finally out all this great information to work, starting this month.
So here I am with leaves that continuously display canoeing of the leaves. I assume it’s light stress, but my PPFD’s are where they should be for this stage, and although I’ve raised the lights to 17†and haven’t had the intensity over 60% (and reduced intensity to 50% then 40%, the new growth continues to display light stress. I know it’s not heat, since the average temps have been around 73 degrees.
I’m growing ILGM Durban Poison autos in Happy Frog and Oerlite mixture. But I might have screwed up the there. I lined the bottom of the 5 gallon fabric pot with about an inch of Perlite (thinking it would help with drainage) but I think I put strait Happy frog on top of that to about 1/2 of the pot, then mixed in 30% with the top half. It seems like that middle portion is retaining too much water - based on a moisture meter. The top inch or more gets dry, but below that the meter says it’s moist / wet!? The pot still has weight to it, so it’s probably right?
Anyway - it appears these plants are going into veg now - and I’m afraid to increase the intensity of the lights (Viparspectra 2023 xs2500 Pro … 2 xs1500’s connected with bars), in a 2x4x6 ft tent and AC Infinity 69 Pro controller.
I went against most peoples recommendation not to use nutrients until after 4 weeks, and have fed them 3 times so far, with 453 PPM / 6.3 pH on days 7 and 14, then 807 PPM / 6.3 pH on day 21.
Im thinking I over fed them - they may be locking out nutrients, causing the problem. The plants real​
ly haven’t been big enough to do a run off, until now - so that’s my next step, when it dries out a bit more.
