  • Hi Emomajic, I noticed your recent comment and decided it would be better to reply in a private message.

First off, welcome to GWE, I think you'll find the crew friendly, knowledgeable and helpful so don't be afraid to start a thread on any of the questions you have. My only advice would be to read all the relevant tutorials on the main GWE site because you'll find answers to most things there.

    To your immediate questions:

I have just basic ??'s now. Is keeping a girl in veg longer than the typical 6-8 weeks give advantage to quality. And also your thoughts on eliminating bud spots in an effort to direct energy towards more favorable colas etc. that will have better light access?

    - Longer veg times seem to produce higher yields (or at least a bigger plant) but quality is a product of your plant's genetics and your overall talent as a grower. I switch to 12/12 flowering when my plant is about half the size I want to end up with. For me that's usually about six weeks. After ten weeks veg I found diminishing returns.

    - Training your plant to achieve a flat canopy with full light exposure for every budsite affects both quality AND quantity, so it's a skill to focus on. Read this Training guide:

Then check out this tread to see how a "Master" does it.

And if you want the ultimate (in my opinion) cannabis training technique you'll probably end up with a SCROG screen. Here's a guy who really knows the ropes.

    Enjoy the Journey,
