Coffee grounds as a medium. Anyone try it?

I had flushed several times but it still remained yellow. I also tried various nutes (calmag, azomite, epsom salt) and it did not respond to those either. Since that last post, I started feeding every other water with Fox Farms Grow Big and am finally starting to see improvement. Looks much...

Coffee grounds as a medium. Anyone try it?

One of these things is not like the others; one of these things is kinda the same. Four months later the Orange Velvet that got the coffee grounds is still struggling...

Light failed. Finish flower outside now (<12 hrs daylight but climbing)?

The power supply to my cheap(ish) import LED light failed. I only had one photo (Sundae Driver) under it which I had just started on 12/12 1 week prior. Where I live (Arizona) I am still less than 12 hours daylight. However in a month I will be up to 13. Will it reveg if I bring it outdoors...

    Not bud rot

Lack of experience has made me ultra paranoid. Was looking at some recently cured Thai Haze I saw some hairs on the bottom of a candy leaf and immediately feared it was mold: but it was everywhere and I had already sampled the batch and it was very nice so decided to take a close look at the...

Tip for newbies - don't go crazy

Just finished harvesting my last plant from my first batch and wanted to share one piece of wisdom for other newbies. Don't go (too) crazy! I was greedy, wasn't sure how many seeds would germinate, and lacked general wisdom so ended up with seven plants of four different species. Some auto...

    Air layering - easy peasy

After several failed attempts at cloning using the typical methods, I decided to try air layering. Worked on my first try. Didn't use Sphagnum moss - just a rapid rooter, cloneX, cereal box liner, and aluminum foil.

[Newbie] Single bud after 1 month?

The two stunted ChemDawgs finished their 4 week cure yesterday and I tried my first home grow. Very nice - such satisfaction smoking your own harvest. Not that there weren't setbacks. In addition to the plants being stunted, I had a fungus gnat infestation which forced me to throw out the...

Help me juggle plants - looking for ideas.

I have a problem I am trying to solve. I have a clone that I stressed out doing an experiment with coffee grounds. To save the plant I had to transplant it into a much bigger pot with normal, un-coffee ground-laced, soil. Good news is it is recovering nicely. Bad news is I don't have any...

How are you getting those sharp trichome closeup pics?

I finally managed to get a good money-shot. Ended up with a 5MP USB digital eyepiece which I put in an inspection scope I use in the shop. Was able to use it with my phone so no need to pull out the laptop. This is my ChemDawg I recently harvested. Currently on the third week of curing...

Here are the temperature and humidity conditions in the chamber.

How are you getting those sharp trichome closeup pics?

I got the Xenvo MysticMimi suggested. A big improvement but this is the best I've managed so far using it along with my S21 Ultra. Have a mic stand on order - should help...

Coffee grounds as a medium. Anyone try it?

Here's a better pic from the top showing the difference in color better. Also some curling on the plant with used coffee grounds added on the right. I think I am about to abort this experiment and try to nurse it to better health.

Coffee grounds as a medium. Anyone try it?

1 week later. Both show similar growth. The +coffee is ~1" shorter but started shorter. The "no coffee" (left) does seem healthier. Greener, perkier.

    Time to show your grow.

GelatoPie (Gelato/KushMintsII/Gelato). Probably should trim it but my first grow and decided to err on the side of caution.

How are you getting those sharp trichome closeup pics?

I saw Nebula recommended snipping off a bit and putting under a microscope in one of the tutorials but I see a lot of really nice photos in-situ. How do you do it?
