Now what?

I have been watching this new development for a few days now. I have seen light tips on what may be seed pods. This is the 1st one that looks like it is opening up.

How old are they? Looks to me like a final push of pistils which would happen closer to the end of bloom. The pix are a not in focus to tell of they are nanners. So long as they don't nanner you are good.

Unknown bag seeds. Potted in April. Taken with digital camera/macro mode. [hard to hold] I'll try for better pics. This yr doesn't look good.

That one kind of looks like a naner, not sure tho. Is your concern naners or seeds? They look to close to harvest to self pollinate and make seeds. If you're wondering if they are seeds, pluck one off and tear it open.

That one in the middle looks suspicious but the other growths just look like foxtails. Probably from heat or light stress.

I second @Orggrwr 's diagnosis of foxtails. Get them all the time in the Sonoran Desert summer heat.

Thank you all for your reply s. Fox tails it is. I have 2 that wouldn't stop stretching,even after topping twice. Their clones outside are doing the same, tall and skinny. As for the original question; I pulled one off, no seed. Looking with a loupe it looks like a small flower, More showing up, I'm going to continue to watch and see what happens.

These plants were potted in April and started flower mid July. I hope this is better. After a lot of reading I have come to this conclusion; Too hot, these two plants grew into my lights and temps into the 90's +/-. Room has been running 70-85* even with curtains open 12 hrs a day and 2- 12" wall fans, 1- 10" floor fan. 2-180w lights,I have turned 1 off and move them away from the light.
These flowers are mainly showing up on lower branches. I haven't seen any pollen.
I thinking of cutting of branches with flowers starting. yes/no. The upper buds show signs of fox tailing.

I'm still a beginner grower but those look a bit like the herms in this article.

I noticed it didn't say what to do with yellow bananas or flowers if you saw them, but I saw elsewhere on GWE that if you are close to harvest you can keep plucking nanners on sight, since seeds don't have much time to form before harvest. And don't feel bad if you find a few seeds. I found some seeds on my bag seed grow but the buds were still good.

A common misconception is that seeds ruin the quality of buds. They do not. Seed will take away from the total weight of usable bud harvested, but the bud itself will be just as good.

In the 60's-80's everything had seeds, all gooood stuff too.............................................
