I am on day 5 of my first grow. I finally got my par meter in so I could fine tune my lights. Currently my lights are about 20in away and I got my ppfd dialed in at 208 now. Im not sure if this is stem is normal or starting to stretch. Im waiting to see how she reacts to the new dialed in light setting. Im just curious would yall suggest to backfill a few inches up the stem or she how she adjusts to the settings before changing anything?

Kinda like Cannabis 101.
Your seedling is "leggy" meaning is has stretched upward to get more light. Solution = lowering fixed output light or increasing power on a dimmable LED. It needs more light.
Yes, you can back fill soil around your seedling. The newly buried stalk will send out roots like a tomato plant does.
Personally, I prefer to start sprouted seeds in a Jiffy Pelllet and transfer to 4" then one gallon pot before transferring to final grow pot.
Several reasons:
- can eliminate weak seedlings
- get excellent root structure
- only strong healthy plants grow out
- better control of seedling environment

Thank you. Im excited so all goes well. Thats what I was thinking. What would be your recommendation on height at this stage since im about 20ins away and running it around 208 ppfd at that height. Also if I back fill it should I rewater since I just gave her 150ml yesterday or just dampen the soil around the stem to promote root growth on the stem.
That's what I thought. I just adjusted my light from around 180ppfd to 208ppfd and running around 20in away. Im thinking I should give her a day or 2 to see how she reacts to that adjustment so I don't change to many variables at one time. What would you recommendation on light situation?Start here:

I grow outdoors so have no light experience. Be careful watering seedlings in coco. It is possible to overwater at this cearly stage. Search the GWE site for how to water.
Oh ok. Hopefully I've been doing it correctly. Ive been testing the soil a few inches down. I haven't let it get completely dry but usually the top is dry. So far its been about every couple of days then water. First water was 100ml and yesterday we day was 150ml. Also im running almost a 50/50 mix of foxfarm happy frog and coco loco. So I benefits of coco with beginning nuits from the happy frog seemed best from research. But I'll be the first to admit I dont 100% know what im doing yet
