Passing a urine test

Pankace, I know he doesn't drink a gallon of water a day, not even now that he's trying to increase his intake. Few people do drink enough water, and yet it is so important.

Royal, I read the link thanks. It also linked to other helpful articles. My husband is very intelligent and because of past jobs, can argue a case as good as most lawyers in court. He'd be able to lecture for an hour or more or the unethical underlyings of this testing practice.. And, fortunately, his gastro doctor who treats his crohn's disease is pro marijuana, so we have him on our side.

That's a great skill your husband has! My question will he still be able to do this while effectively AT THE SAME TIME AS going through withdrawl?. Please do what you can and if you wish I will be glad to pass any questions you may have (anonymously) to (my wife) a 35 year professional R.N. for a educated answer for you. GOOD LUCK!

My wife says ALL MEN ARE stark raving lunatics YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN OWNING ONE. I listen to my wife as she has the education to make my demise "look like natural causes" a man cant be too careful.

Found out some info. They do not test on the spot, they send it off. Hubby will be able to get his script at his appointment tomorrow. If he fails the test, which he probably will because he just failed the home test again, he will be required to test again next time. So basically, you are given a one time fail pass.

I guess it's time to start the weening process sooner? Or no more of nature's meds for a while I suppose. I can see why he's been wanting to harvest early now!

Yes, you have it right. He wants this stuff harvested, cured and stored away until he feels safe to start using again. He may have to test clean three months in a row, before they stop testing him. I just starting a new thread about skin contact.

And yes, he has just increased his will to get weaned off the oxi as fast as possible.

Just another reason PA is f'd up. My husband takes opioids as prescribed by his primary care giver. He does not abuse them, or give them to anyone else. He has a doctor appointment on Tuesday and last Thursday, his doctor's nurse called to say he would be required to give a urine sample at that appointment. I am shocked they even gave him that warning. His last toke was Thursday morning. He has been drinking cranberry juice and water like crazy and trying to pee it out. We had some testers here and he just tried it and tested positive. Who knows if he'll be clean by Tuesday morning or not.

This is just so unjust. Cocaine only stays in your system for 4 or 5 days. Marijuana can be up to 30 days. He hates being addicted to opiates. He is using the weed to wean himself off them. If he fails the test, we don't know if they will give him his script or not. You cannot just go cold turkey to get off oxicontin. This is the main reason we decide to grow, so he can get off the oxi.

I'm just venting. Has anyone else been put in this position? Other than flushing your bladder, is there a way to get it out of your system faster.

There is a product my brother used, he drank it down on the morning of the test and within a couple hours he passed the test. He got it at the local head shop, it was about 40 bucks is all I know. He is not here or I would ask him what its called.

Thanks for that info sonny. I don't know how long ago your brother had to test, or what state, but from reading up the subject, the testing process now includes testing for certain "foreign" agents such as products you are talking about. They will also consider the test invalid if the specimen seems too watered down.

Yes. They test for masking agents. I guess there are more basic variations but the testing has become quite standardized. Since you said they're sending it out, I can say with certainty that it will have all the bells and whistles on the testing process.

Is it a urine test or saliva? If saliva he should be good after 2 or 3 days not using, urine is a good 30 days. I would think it may be saliva so they can test "in house" and not have to send sample to testing lab. There are always kits on line. A friend used the kits to pass urine test at work a couple of times. Good luck. Sending positive vibes your way!

No, we already know it is a urine test and they send it out to be tested. Would be wonderful if it was a saliva test. Only have to quite for a short window of time.

My wife and I both had to give a urine sample, when she signed us up to be the Saturday postal delivery on one of the routes. She doesn't smoke that much so she had nothing to worry about,me on the other hand,"She calls me the human fog machine,God I don't know how you can smoke that much pot and still function"anyway two weeks to the day God that was 2 loooooooonnnnnngggggg weeks.I had also been taking Percocet, not prescribed from a doctor. The night before, I took one of those drugstore tests and tested positive ,"Wife asked What are you going to do,"?Nothing to do but take the test, came back clean.Don't stress it,now I did the golden seal and water.Even if he were to test positive,it should be minuscule enough, you or he should be able to explain off by something like,we walked by a car and I caught the smell of marijuana.Dosen't Pa have medical now?If so apply immediately.

PA did pass medical. The whole operation is at least two years out from actually be realized in the form dispensaries, etc. They are just getting grow facilities set up and the screening process to open a dispenser.

We do have hubby's gastroenterologist on our side, but at his last visit, it was too early to apply for his condition. They are prioritizing certain patients first.

I used to work in the building industry and random u-tests were brought in, everyone on site s##t a brick including me, we were lucky as we found out when ours were to be done and some lads found, online, a 24hrs clean kit that you drink and test negative for 24hrs, unfortunately I left before my test and never had to use one so can't tell you if any good. Good luck!!!!

One last update, and I'll let this thread die.

Hubs went to appointment, got his monthly Bcomplex shot, had a heartfelt discussion with doctor. His hands are tied. This directive is not his choosing, but obviously protecting his medical license. Gave the urine sample and got his script. 40mg oxicontin, 90 for a 30 day supply. If he fails the test, he will have to come in and take test next time, wait for results to come back negative before the script will be written. He is already determined to cut his daily intent of oxi even though we know it will be hell on him. The doctor did tell him, that he would give him a one month notice, even though its not supposed to work that way) before he would test again, once he has a negative test.

Who knows when he will be able to partake of the fruits of our(mostly mine) labor. Once hE is off the oxi's no more testing. They only test opiate users. THAT WILL BE A HAPPY DAY!
