potential outdoor growing problem... need advice!

Hey guys, I've never used a forum before so I hope I'm posting in the right spot.

I live in a big Canadian city and I grow my plants on my balcony using grow bags. This is my second year growing and I'm super passionate about it!

Problem: I recently discovered that my neighbours are also growing on their balcony, but I think they have a male! They're two houses down, so there is one other balcony separating us. It's roughly 20-30ft away, so I cant really get a good look, but I'm pretty sure I see pollen sacks at the top and on the sides. Although theres a balcony separating us (with pretty high wood panels), I'm worried that it could potentially pollinate my four beautiful females. If it is a male, should I be worried? or is it far enough away that its unlikely to pollinate my females? please let me know what you think!

Hi jgrows, welcome to the forum.
Unique problem you have.
Probably depends on the wind direction. Pollen can travel a long way in the right or in your case wrong conditions.

I thinks there’s a 100% chance that one day at one moment the airflow will push pollen upwards and rape all your girls. Just a single breeze a single day will do. My advice is go to your neighbor and talk to him. Maybe doesn’t know about males, maybe he’s doin a seed run with a kick ass male.Anyway You have a new friend to be made

Definitely a possibility of your plants getting pollinated. I’d get a pair of binoculars and check for maleness. If confirmed, i would visit my neighbor and try to get on the same page. Maybe a compromise can be made.

Pollen can travel miles and miles. Only way to fix that is to negotiate with your neighbors. Bring em a big ole J and a few dab rips. Tell em all about that pesky male :)

Definitely danger of pollinating your girls, I've always heard pollen with the right wind can pollinate up to a 10 mile radius. I'd hang out on the patio till you see your neighbor and simply say, hey nice plant! May I have a closer look? If its male perhaps offer him/her a cutting of a top notch girl.

Make a lasso, tie the plant up and wipe it out of the balcony. In Denmark we don’t tolerate males.
but as the others say and 9finger nailed it, talk with him (after the lasso of course)

It could work for sure. Who is the one lifting the anvil up on the higher levels of floor ? (If there’s no elevator of course🤔)
