How to sex plant any time

I plan on buyin a soil ph meter now i have a aqurium meter for runoff. Could anyone suggest to get digital or analog soil meter. I was thinking analog would be more accurate? Not have to fool with adjustment?
 
Maybe my technique is wrong.... have you tried putting the plant inside a small box (to reduce any wind effect on the cap/string) and tying the string to something fixed that doesn’t vibrate (to reduce any undesirable movement effect on the cap/string)? In theory, if the plant is throwing out some type of sonic energy that will be the only factor creating force large enough to move it if you remove all the other factors involved.
 
You can add ph buffers that will help keep things in check. Most people go to cal-mag, but there are others.
 
Soil meters are not very accurate. Best method is to measure ph going in and ph from that same run off like you are already doing.
 
I can make mine swing either way over a plant. I tried close distances and far distances. It all depends on my approach. The direction never changes, just loses its momentum over time.
So in my example, when it’s tied to a fixed object... let it drop from a height and the force of the fall will create movement. See if the results are the same. I love designing these type of experiments to control variability in a process!

Yeah im using ground dirt and pot mix both on this one just gonna get through the rest of grow and i got some ocean forest i ordered 40lbs. Mixed in a extra gallon of perlite and cup of bone meal. You can get 1.5 cubic ft right now off ebay for 32 bucks shit load of mix. Probably fill 2 or 3 5gal buckets if not more ill post pic.

Lol. I was looking at the FFOF deal on ebay too. Hard to take it though when the local hydro shop normally sells them for $13. Times are tough. I need at least 5 of them and 1 of the FF happy frog bags. I mix pearlite, 1/2 OF and 1/2 HF for seedlings and clones (smaller plants). Then I mix OF with pearlite for the final containers. Plenty of ph puffers in that soil!
 
Yeah. Ace sells them for a bit more by me. The guy there recommended Whitney’s farm organic soil as a suitable replacement. Cost was like $15 per 1.5 CF. I bought a few to test side by side this year. So unfortunately I can not comment on how suitable of a replacement as of right now.
 
That's an amazing deal the same on amazon isn't cheap. I'll be interested to see how it works out for you.

I dont have an ace here but i have one next town over the 32 worth peace of mind 2 me bringin humbolt 2 the house itd cost me the differance in gas drivin that far to get it. I had no idea about price all i knows cant find good soil in my town and cheapest i seen elsewheres like 799 a 12qt bag plus like ten bucks or more ship this was free. But thank s for the info maybe thatll help someone else.
 
Im in process of making my own livin soil now its worth the wait best u can have feeds plants and no flush check out composting. I will of course mix it with perlite any recommendations where to find that cheap online the perlite? I cant find anywhere around here even walmart dont have and ebay was 5 bucks a gallon. Like to get a cub ft cheap somewhere?
