Ready to harvest in Oregon?

Some pics from a few days ago. Rainy weather returning.....time to chop? Hate for mold to ruin this first crop. Strains grown...Scooby Snacks, Alien Hand Grenade, Mango Kush, Girl Scout Cookies crossed with Casey Jones.

Man kind of what I was thinking, maybe slightly to early, but it's a little hard to tell.. some of them look great though! You might be able to get away with pulling em.. I'm going to subscribe in and hear some other responses, I'm just not 100% sure.. if it is early, it's so so close!!

I'd say you might go a little longer, but if it's going to be rainy, cool and/or humid for a while you might want to chop now just to make sure they don't get bud rot! They do like they miiiiight be at the door of the harvest window. Bud rot grows best in wet or humid weather between 60-70°F, and once it gets started it can take down a whole crop in just a few days! It looks like you've got some thick, dense colas, which is what made me say something because those are the most likely to get affected

Agree with NebulaHaze, you're the only one that can make the decision. If the weather isn't going to cooperate and damage is a real possibility...chop em down

Agreed. It looks early to me but id rather have an early harvest than a moldfest. Ultimately its your call

After I posted this I went outside for the daily inspection with the magnifier. Turns out the Mango Kush was showing the first hints of bud rot on about 5-6 buds. It was a windy day so I chopped it. Spent most of the day trimming and pretty sure I got the small bits of rot removed. Bummer......but the house reeks so good! Tomorrow, a thorough inspection of the remaining 3 plants. Supposed to be a partly sunny day.....

Sounds like what happened with my 2 outdoor grows this summer. Just the first signs of bud rot after a cool humid spell. Harvested a wee earlier than anticipated, cut out visible rot, dried fine, and seems to be curing well. Guess that's why I like my indoor grows...less dependent on fickle weather. Good luck!

Just like the poor raisin farmers around here - work all year to get the harvest in and the rain comes when there dryin and it f@#$s them up. Hope you don't lose too much those buds are gorgeous!

Thanks ManOGreen......went out today and chopped the Scooby Snacks......no sign of rot but here's a pic of the main cola. Stinks so good.....
