    Defoliating and the new grower

First grow. My plants are 4 weeks old. They're healthy, short and very bushy. I've read about the caveats aimed at new growers, but what if I just take a few of the larger fan leaves in the middle or toward the bottom? I've noticed some wet spot on leaves where the fans touch each other and I'd like to avoid mold. The pictures below are a few days old, the plants are even bushier now! I've topped them all and they are LSTd. Thanks!

So glad to watch your grow! Yes I Love it here too. I'll love it even more at harvest timeeee. For me I'm guessing at least two-three months away for first plant I started. I'll probably start a grow journal when I go to flower.

Looking awesome. Yes I think it would be a great idea to clear a lot of leaves from those plants. You want the lower nodes to get some light so they make an effort to reach it. Great work keep it up

That's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks. I know this strain (white widow and papaya) is short and bushy, but cmon!

Lovely girls!! Big ol' indica leaves: snip away judiciously.

morning Rubyslippers yes I would trim those fan leafs off open up the bud sites are your plants autos or photos if they are autos then at 4 weeks I would give them and aggressive hair cut if photos trim liberally but not as much as autos until 3 week of bloom this is a pic of my week 3 defoliating on photos haven't done autos yet the first pic is after I defoliated and the second was the same plant yesterday so you can see you can be aggressive and they will survive

Thanks, jarhead! These are photos. I definitely going to take your advice and take quite a few of the larger fan leaves off. Exciting, but nerve wracking! Watering has become a huge pain in the ass! How big is your tent? I've got a 4' x 4' and its starting to get crowded with the tower fan humidifier and four 5 gal plants. I appreciate your input!
