    Leaves pointing up to light?

I have a Pure Power Plant sativa d. and I just moved her out of 24 on to 18/6 on.
She's doing great but it's obvious that the leaves of the top 1/4 of her are all pointing up to the grow light and its a 60W with a fan on the light. I don't believe it's heat stressed because it's in a nice climate and the top is cool? Sorry no pics. They're not really nec. you can imagine.
What do you think it is? Is it good or bad?
    Thank you

I believe that the leaves are simply trying to get all the light that they can.

what I have learned so far:
    environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Howdy Klaatu, 60 watts (even if it is actual current draw) is not enough light. An amount of 150 watts per plant is recommended. Also, what type of light is it that You are using? You may have it too far away from the plant.
        Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

Hi DW2, I'm keeping this girl as a mother so I'm using a Philips 60W Plant Light, 6-7" above the top of my girl. I also use one of these on the side of her to lite the lower and middle.
Hey, I have a few of the upper leaves where the sides/edges of the leaf they're curling down. What's THAT about?

The curling of the leaves could be caused by several things like under or over watering, heat or cold stress, pH issues, and or nutrient problems (too much or too little of something). I do not intend to sound evasive, but there are many things that can cause that.
The 60 watt thing makes some sense to me, just enough light to keep it alive for cuttings (I assume).
            Good luck with your grow.

Thank you very much guys, I'll look into some of the other causes mentioned.

I have noticed on my Sativa grows that they specifically like to point upwards especially towards mid-late flower. My Indicas have never done this, i believe it's more of a Sativa thing which makes sense on a tall lanky plant. Hope this helps, Peace!
            Perpetual setup!

might not apply here but plants that are magnesium deficient can have their leaves point up in what's known as 'praying for magnesium'

Do the pointed-up leaves look like this?

If so, it usually means they are getting slightly too high levels of light. This can happen even if it's completely cool in the grow space (like how skiers can still get sunburn in the cold). If that's the case, then moving the grow light up a few inches should fix it! Each plant is different, and some are more sensitive to light than others. So sometimes what's a perfect amount of light for one plant might be too much light for a different plant. However, if you're seeing the symptoms, you want to listen to the plant because if they get too much light for too long, the top leaves might start yellowing and dying early after a few weeks.

Thank you NebulaHaze for taking the time to help me, I'll move my light up a couple of more inches as well as using better water.

I use Cal/Mag so I'm o.k. there I think. But I have developed a Manganese def. I know it's because I can't keep the PH from fluxuating up and down, my water sucks...switching to FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil and start using distilled or RO water. Thank you, OzBud.
