    FIM, Topping Advice for Clone

    Here is my 14" week old clone. I think its Yvonna 7. A White Widow sister/cousin. It could be the Lavender 2, but I think its the Y7. The others are L7.
    I've FIM'd two previous plants and like the results.
    I'm thinking of lopping off the first 3-4 lower branches and FIM'ing this one.
    There is a lot to work with, so I'm wondering if I should trim more off the top and go for a full topping or more.
    Insights appreciated.
    Source suggested I go to flower light schedule in a week or so. But doesn't do any training. I'm inclined to trim, wait a bit then go to 12/12.

    🌱 Is it possible to bend the main stem over a little and secure the plant down? If you do that, you will have multiple colas from all that side branching, and you wouldn't have to cut off your plant and lose that growth. Then you could still go into flower next week, but you'd have a ton of colas! If the main stem is thick and won't bend, don't force it. Hold the stem between your fingers and crush as hard as you can and gently wiggle back and forth until it bends easily, without any force whatsover. That'll help you bend over almost any stem and is called "supercropping" 🌱

    💡 Anyways, that's just one idea, let's see what the other growers have to say!💡

      I considered that, but I'm in a limited space to pull that off, I think. This clone is close to double the size of the last one, my first one, so I'm trying to figure out how best to manipulate.
      I'll probably trim off some of the lower stuff and FIM. It, and the sisters are growing very fast.
      I don't mind higher yield vs time lost to recovery. I did both in my first grow, and the FIM'd plant weighed doubled the untouched one.

        Don't worry about what the source recommends, especially if they don't do any training. You've got more of an idea about what needs to be done for your situation. Trust your instincts.

          Agreed. My source is an encyclopedia of knowledge, but just never got into training.
          They are growing very rapidly, so I should have the option to FIM soon. One looks to have three tops developing that could be FIM'd. But I'll take my time and
          let ya'll know. With pictures.
