    Leaf ball

Some of the newest tiny leaves are twisting into little balls as if a bug made a home (indoor) 8 wks,16" tall, t5 light and west window. Turned one open but nothing visible just dense wrinkles. Some plants not all. I'll try to get a pic later.

I had a plant in my last grow that early on the leaves would start out looking like romaine lettuce! After a while, they would 'flatten' out and the new ones started being normal. Un fortunately, it turned out to be a male plant.
I would not let it worry You as long as the plant is healthy and growing well.

Ay caramba.... I've had spiders in outdoor plants that made a taco shell downwards from a leaf and made a house but it was a bigger denser plant. Maybe just a fucked up leaf?

Could it possibly be broad mites?

Here's a pic of what twisted growth from broad mites looks like:

Example of twisted new growth caused by cannabis broad mites

If the infestation keeps getting worse, the leaves start getting shiny:

Example of leaf damage from broad mites or russet mites

Broad mites can be tough to diagnose because the bugs live inside the plant, so you may never see them.

That being said, I've seen odd twisted leaves before from extensive overwatering, or if you accidentally damaged the leaves when they were still very small. If you only see one leaf like this and everything is completely normal after that, I wouldn't worry beyond keeping an eye out, but I'd definitely worry if you see it on multiple leaves. I hope it's not bugs!

Also, I noticed some long, round one-finger leaves on your plant. It it possible it's re-vegging (reverting back to the vegetative stage after it already started flowering)? This happens when the plant starts getting light during its 12 hours day period. That's one of the only thing that produces single-finger, round leaves on long stems on an adult plant.

          Here's pictures of plants re-vegging.

Example of the round single-finger leaves I'm talking about:
This cannabis plant is "revegging" or has been "monstercropped", which means it was in the flowering stage but was put back into the vegetative stage again.
Here's an example of a re-vegging plant with twisting leaves:
This cannabis was put outside too early in the year, causing it to re-vegetate with strainge twisted growth
Each plant re-vegs a little differently, but I could definitely see it causing your twisted leaves

interesting. I had a mate ask me about some leaves like the top picture about 8 years ago. I'd never grown then & him & his dad had grown for years and neither of us had seen/heard about this at that stage. Thinking back now he used to sneak looks in the room when the lights were off. Next time I speak to him I'll mention this and see if he remembers (he's got a terrible memory as he's been smoking since he was 10 and his dad now has terrible dementia and doesn't even know where he is)

You nailed it! I don't know why but today I just noticed the 1,2,3 leaf growth. Was going to post it . My first sexing seemed to take forever. My mistake was some were planted a few days later and took longer to show female and I waited for all. They really didn't want to go back to veg.
          Thanks so much

Now I must figure PH test strip showing below 5 on tap and soil soaked in water then filtered after an hour. If i put baking soda in water it goes high,7, purple so don't know if it's strip reacting to extreme soda or is expired. They are old for sure.
