I am a new grower and don't know much about botany. One of my plants' leaves are all dying/dead and got me wondering about whether it was possible to clone a plant without any leaves. Are there any nutrients or additives that can provide the plant with sugar in place of leaf photosynthesis? thanks

when I clone I leave at least 3 sets of leaves on the clone so that it has something to feed with I spray my clones 3 times a day to feed her without leaves she will shrivel up and die sorrynew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

Howdy nl16, and welcome to the forum.
I have not heard of starting a cannabis plant from a root, but I do know that it happens in nature all of the time. I have a 'volunteer' pecan tree that sprouts up every spring. It is right next to my patio, so I mow it down every year, but it keeps coming back from only the roots. If You provided the right conditions, light, heat, and nutrients (including some sugars) it might start growing. I am not a botanist either, so I do not know if the pecan, being an perennial, and the cannabis being an annual type of plant would make any difference or not. You might try it to see?Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

dw2 I think that the pecan tree is an offshoot from a different tree I have a witch hazel plant that keeps coming back but its roots traveled under my barn lolnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds
