Quick question my first time on here. I got some slightly shriveled leaves on my seedlings first set of leaves. All the other seedlings are doing very good. So I’m not really concerned because I’m gonna switch her out with another one but for future reference I would like to know what caused it. I feel like it’s just deformed but was wonderin what anybody else thinks didn’t know if it may be nutrient burn because I did start feeding early. Thanks

Yes looks like she did not like being fed a tad overwatered to boot. You could save her by letting her recover with just some plain ph water when she dries out a bit. She's a fussy auto.

HELP!!!

These began growing well until day 7-9 when I first noticed some leaves turning yellow. I transplanted them to those big containers, the substrate is a mix of Roots Organics Original soil mix, worm castings, amended with RO Uprising Grow and Bloom and roots organics Elemental. The seedlings were planted first on the same soil from the past plant I had. It was on the outside for about 3 weeks (maybe caught some fungus or plague there??). I applied some neem oil when I transplanted it to those big containers, on the soil and leaves, but it hasn't improved anything.

Anyone had a similar problem?? how did you fix it??

some can tell me if i can use big bud and seaweed together or if its too strong .. i have autoflowers my soil is made up of 3 portion of spagn peat 3 portion of shrimp compost 2 portion of perlite and 1 of vermiticulite I watered once a week with sea algae and my plants are often lacking in nutrients.

Hi folks, first time grower here. I got a quick question. I found a slight discoloration






Does she look healthy or is it the start of a deficiency?

I just fed her .3 ml biobizz calmag per l because we have soft water. ph checked was 6.9.

Update.

I took a usb microscope (50-1000x) and checked the leaves, I found some yellow spots and some kind of blisters.






Could it be some kind of pest? Or maybe light burn?

Sorry if I am being paranoid, I have grown quite fond of my plants.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Looking at pictures from both posts it does not look like light burn. Small spots looks like left by a bug or physical damage.

I would suggest to evaluate You lights, if You think it might be light burn. Maybe set them a little more apart or lower intensity. And check for bugs carefully.

Also I would not feed any nutrients, but lower the pH to 6 - 6.5.

Otherwise pictures from 1st post look fine. Newly formed cells of leaf usually are lighter shade of green.

I read in a reply from BioBizz to the inquiry from someone else that the bacteria in the soil will bring the ph down to 6.2 - 6.3 as long as the water ph is not above 8.5 or 9 but that the bacteria is unable to increase the ph so anything below 6.3 or better 6.5 might cause problems. So, with a safety margin I shoot for 6.8 - 7.0. Or is that wrong?

Urgent help needed. This plant is week 7 of veg and is small like the others but this one is having extra issues. I first noticed the leaf damage about a week and a half ago but thought it was light burn so I just moved the lights and adjusted the fans however the damage continued to get worse. I just tested runoff and it was 4500 ppm and 5.0 ph even though I have been feeding tap water with 150ppm and 6.5ph so no clue what is happening. It is planted in a 50/50 mix of fox farm ocean forest and sohum live soil.

Could try to flush the soil with distilled water or plain tap water. Soil must have been packed with nutrients.

Hello, I would like to take a doubt. I have 4 plants in a 120x120 grow, 600W LED, 01 exhaust fan and 01 fan My lights are equivalent to a 500W HPS. I use soil, 4 parts of base soil, 1 part of earthworm humus, 1 part of coconut fiber, 1 part of perlite / vermiculite, 4% guano, 3% bone meal. All seeds are feminized, P.H from 6.2 to 6.4. What happens is that I changed the photoperiod to 12/12 on October 17th. Everything seemed to be going well, they showed the first indications of the beginning of flowering, but 1 of the plants (Orange sherbert) so far (today, November 6th) has not even shown signs of flowering. I would like to know if it is only a species with late flowering or if there would be something wrong, follow the photos, if the photos are not clear enough I can send others. P.S: The other 3 plants started to bloom 14 days ago.

Please take a photo in natural light just like the 3 you took but natural light. Were these clones? What is the true watts of that lamp from the wall. Tell us about soil or hydro? Thanks

Hi everone , my first post and grow. I have some brown spots on one of my plants ( Anaconda seeds, anaconda auto) have a 4x4 tent with 11 auto plants in 3 gallon buckets. One anaconda auto, one Bcn critical xxl, one auto grande crack and 8 anaconda seeds northern sky.
4x mars hydro 600ts led lights and grow in soil.

The spots are one the anaconda auto mostly on the upper newer leafs, some of the other have som spots but on the lower leafs. Calcium difficiency? Bought some GHS Calmag today. Been using gold label soil A and B, roots, magnesium, Ph down and ultra pk ( only on some plants)

HELP!! So early veg, everything has been going great up until the last few weeks ish. When it started to get dry in Oklahoma I noticed some extreme problems with my plants. I’m from Illinois and moved around More wet areas generally, so using a humidifier was never needed for me. But I and some others thought this was a nutrient lockout or burn of some sort, but there’s really no signs of burn on the plants. Just this extremely weird growth. The tops are extremely tiny, and curl and stick straight up at the lights primarily towards the end of the light cycle that day.. I just wanted a second opinion on this because like I said something like this has never happened to me..
I’m running a 315w cmh and a 200 watt led for veg currently.

5.8 ph, 650 ppm fed every other water, clean ro water every other water.
78-82 degrees and 30-35 percent humidity.
I was told by someone more experienced than me that the low humidity is what’s causing it, and that because of the vpd chart basically my plants are just drying out quick. Does this seem to be the correct assessment?? I’ve never had plants look this bad and am embarrassed to post this lol. Thanks y’all.

3/26/2021 FLOWER UPDATE!!!

These same plants as seen below in flower Week four and End of Week Five (purple). As the girls go into week six they are looking very good, I think. The PEX isn’t as bodacious as the DGOG but, of the two, it was the most stressed back in December when I began the turn around.

Honestly, I hadn’t expected things too look this good and whatever yield comes from this two clone grow, I will be happy with.

I have started several clones from these two plants for the summer growing experiment.

Never give up.

AFTER CONSULTING WITH FOX FARMS I PROCEEDED WITH A TWICE A WEEK WATERING W/NUIT SCHEDULE, INSTALLED A SMALL FAN AND CROSSED MY FINGERS. I have posted the results in pics below (if it will let me). The improvement is remarkable. HOWEVER, notice the shape of the leaves? As the Pineapple Express (right) has grown it has gone from just two points to three points. The Durango OG on the right has been three point for a long time and continues to be so. I’m hoping the next leaf sets on each will be five point. FINGERS CROSSED. Poor little buggars. They was starvin’ and needed a cool breeze. I’ll keep for another month see what happens.

SUPER SHOUT OUT FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT WHILE I FIGURED THIS ONE OUT. I’m not given up just yet.


Another first time canna grower here. I consider myself a fairly successful grower of many things indoor and out. The canna grow has me perplexed. I picked up a couple of clones back in September. they were very healthy, had great roots and I was excited. Now this was started as an experiment to see if I could be successful. At this point I am a miserable failure. My plants are pathetic. I have read everything I can get my hands on and I’m more confused than ever. I haven’t invested in a full out grow system yet. It’s a fair investment and I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger. I wanted to see if the two banks of LED grow lights would be sufficient to fill the small four shelf 24” x 19” greenhouse I already had. I fitted the greenhouse with quilted insulation, kind they use for those silver fold up windshield screens people use on their dash boards. Plants are in 3 gallon pots, FFO soil, heating mat, humidifier and meter to track both. Lights on timer currently running 18 on for veg stage. I also have a meter to gauge soil ph, water content and light.

Watering has been a challenge. Sadly, I just discovered I should not be using distilled water, I read somewhere else I could use it and that’s what I have been using. My water is very alkaline here in the mountains of central New Mexico and there’s a lot caliche so I was hesitant to use it. I started feeding after three weeks using a reduced, deleted amount of big bloom and watered until it rain out of the pot., twice a week as recommended. But they soil never seemed to dry out in-between and soon the plants began to exhibit peculiar stunted growth and started to look like they might be overwatered or maybe even nuit burned. So I held back on both but the pots never seem to dry out enough to feel light or dry. The surface is dry, but just below the surface it’s moist and the moisture meter indicates moist not wet at the root. No root smell either.

So I ordered a bunch more stuff to complete the set-up, a small personal fan to move the air around the tiny space. I hadn’t been using a fan because my thermometer stays between 70 and 74 degrees so I figured I didn’t need one? But what the hell, I bought a fan and I will vent out the top of the greenhouse. I got a ph test kit, up and down as well as a ph meter.

Now given all of this, I don’t think it should be this difficult to get a damn plant to grow. Mine grow up, but not out. They don’t branch and they are clearly stunted. This is three months growth!!! They leaf sets come out and very quickly the tips turn yellow, eventually the whole leaf. I have many plants in my house and I’m pretty good at this stuff, but apparently not for behold my shame....

Man so sorry you had these issues . For all i know they got way to hot in that little green house? The water from the get go was not good for weed. I'm thinking these are toast after 3months unless you want to keep trying to bring these back, they are not dead but are starving for food. NPK
