Hey Lucky I have a question about your wire tie downs .I've noticed that there are no plain copper wires so you don't use the ground wire? I haven't either I'm afraid it will leach into the soil is that why you don't use them? fantastic looking girls by the way

Good morning guys, I'm wondering wether you can explain your theory/process with topping your autos as GWE details why not too with Autos because of recovery/grow time, do you do this with all your autos , I've always wanted to try and top my autos for better growth control so happy to see it works

Thanks to the #automechanics crew, I gave this a shot the other day. I topped the healthier looking of my 2 auto White Widows at the 3rd node - day 17. She did look a little sad for 12 hours or so afterward. But, less than 2 days later, she seems to be perfectly fine. Well on her way to producing two new mains. I would never have had the cajones to try this without the automechanics. In particular, the videos Green75 is producing of his topped autos are inspiring to say the least.

Took these last night on Day 30
Was out of town this past weekend & when I left on Friday she was tied down nice & neat & had started to flower.

Well, as soon as I was gone she busted out of those ties like a teenage girl that throws a party as soon as her parents leave. Sneaky she is.
When I got home on Sunday night there were beer cans all over the house...nah, not really, no beer cans...but she had stretched all over the place like Elastigirl!!

So I tied her again as best I could, she was stiff & hard to bend on her main branches.
And again in the last few days she has done her best to break free.
She's a wild one with a mind of her own but seems to be doing well since recovering from root rot.

Tonight I'll tie all the new growth in the middle down even with the main branches on the outside and strip about 60% of her leaves off again.

here's a question for the auto team how long do you still tie them down for . is there a point you stop tieing them down and what about the growth nodes on the main stem do those get tied down as well. thanks for the help

I keep tying them down till I see preflowers..I enjoy watching the stretch.. I tie down everything and cut out the ones that are weak..
