    Really stupid newbie question

Is there a way to basically remove the thc from your weed and just be left with the cbd. I know there are stains that contain a higher ratio of cbd to thc. Or is something that you can only get from a specialty product?

Its just a question.........don't be asking me why the hell would I want to do that!! Just curious.

Carlsoti, I kind of suspected that. I know over curing your bud or waiting too late to harvest will reduce your thc, but there will always be some.

Without lab equipment I'd say the closest you'll get is a high CBD strain with only 1% or so of THC in the mix.

I know there is a strain out there called "Charlots Web" which is pretty much all CBD. Was developed for a little girl with a debilitating disease. So it is not a stupid newby question at all.

I'm sure it would be quite easy to google search high cbd, low thc strains.

Nirvana had a special a couple of weeks ago for a high cbd strain, but it had thc as well. I think the entourage effect is important though, and I wouldn't want a strain that's all one or the other, it's the combination of all the cannabinoids that makes pot the miracle drug that it is.

Thanks for all the answers friends. I'll google Charlottes Web, and yes I know most of the seed sights breakdown the thc and cbd info for you in the description.

It's funny. I listened to Adam Dunn talk about breeding in Amsterdam back in the day. He spoke about how all the cbd was basically bred out of most cannabis strains because they didn't know of the benefits of cbd. Now they're all breeding it back in!

Oh, and if you're interested... there's a company called cbd crew that specializes in..... you guessed it, cbd strains. They have a couple heavy hitters associated with them including Jorge Cervantes and Shantibaba.

I plan on purchasing some critical mass next year.

Again nugs, thanks for this info. I been spending the last hour googling around and finding their are definitely strains out there, even autos that may be well suited to me.

Unfortunately for me, not for hubby, several of the strains he bought when we went to D.C. are high THC, like OG Kush. All the better to fail a urine test.
