First time grower, but three weeks into the flowering stage, my plants look great. It turns out that from my random seeds I have four girls and one boy, which is PERFECT because I want to do some selective pollination to produce a supply of seeds. But I only have one grow space, and no more grow lights, so the boy has to stay in the grow tent with the girls until his pollen sacs are mature and I can harvest them.
So my question is, what can I do to prevent the boy from accidentally pollinating any of the girls until I'm sure that the pollen sacs actually have some viable pollen in them? I stripped the boy of all but three of his branches, and he is separated from the girls by a sheet of plastic wrap resting gently between the boy and one of the girls – the only thing I could think of that was light, flexible, and transparent but also impervious to pollen.
