I'm growing 6 autos outside in 2 gal. Smart pots the rain is nutral at 7 ph,not so good for plants,I think I've come up with a way to keep most of the rain out. I picked up some clear plastic saucers at the depot sold to put under pots.if I flip and cut a hole in the middle big enough to fit a seedling thru about a inch round it fits inside the smart pot and even helps hold its shape. Roots still breath thru sides and protects from them from some insects,I also put smart pots up on top of grated plastic bases to keep off soil so it doesent wick up, has any body tried this? Or if not does it sound feasible? Inquireing minds need to know.As always all replies are met with much gradatude.
