Using Cheap $3 LEDs from Home Depot

Will they work?
I'm staring at this track lite with two LED and on CFL bulbs and there is a hell of a lot of Lumens, easily 300watts of equivalent light. And that array cost only $10!
I have lots of these old track lights that could be attached to boards hung from my future 10 food ceiling. So plenty of distance. I believe I can assemble 4000 watts of equivalent light for almost nothing (i.e. $150) using 40 x $3@ 3000K and 5000K bulbs. For a lot more (i.e $1000) at $20@, I can get Red/Blue led spots. Maybe just buy some red bulbs to mix in? I look forward to anyone who has experience with low cost lighting. Thanks to anyone who jumps in.

the problem with LEDs is that they're a very specific color temperature and plants like a whole range of colors.

"Equivalent" watts means they illuminate just as an incandescent bulb of that wattage. It's meaningless to growers cause incandescent bulbs do not work for growing, always calculate with the real amount they pull out of the wall

Agreed! They're "equivalent" to old-fashioned bulbs, but not to anything useful or meaningful to growers

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 these are strip leds full spectrum they daisy chain together you need a power supply but for 40 bucks you get 10 2' strips in the picture I used the tape that comes with them .it didnt stick to good but I got some two sided tape and they are looking and working great so now I have t5s and leds in veg and 1000hps and leds in bloom so far so good .I saw those lights at lowes but they were not grow light these specifically state full spetrum
