Should I get a drying rack?

    Hey again community,
I'm wondering if I should by a drying rack for my upcoming harvest. I have one grow on week 5 of flowering and another grow going on next to the tent which is 4 seeds under a light. If I get a drying rack, I won't have to wait an extra week for the plants to hang in my tent and dry and I can put my 4 seedlings in the tent early and also avoid infestation. My humidity is fine, I'm in southern california near LA.

Jute twine works wonders. Tie it frome point a to point b out of ur way and hang bud laden branches and there ya go. That's how I do anyway. Super cheap and ez

I did something similar_ after doing a remodel I had 2 long curtain rods left over so I hung them on a wall and hang my bud from them. Keeps them away from the wall, they don't touch each other, and I can hang a lot of bud from each rod. A friend uses one of those fold up towel racks that you can get for cheap. Fits into a 4x4x4 space, stands up by itself and with all the bars on it you can hang a nice bunch of bud. Have fun!

You want buds to dry slowly for the best results. A dry time of 4-7 days is great. A slow dry helps your buds have a better smell, taste and overall smoothness after the curing process. Generally when people get drying racks it's because they're trying to get buds to dry faster, for example if you have a lot of buds in a small space, if the local environment is very humid, or if some of the buds are so thick there's worry of mold.

Ok, I think im going to just hang it in my garage with string next to the grow tent, I hope bugs don't touch it. Two of my baby blackjacks just sprouted!

I purchased a drying rack and they work great but before that I used a long cardboard box with sting in it to hang my buds from. I hung buds in it and the put it on top of my hps light the box had two holes in it one on either end so I could put a fan on the box worked pretty good. I changed to a spin trimmer and drying rack both work. my yields got to big for the box. great problem to have

Hey Rick, you're in CA if I remember correctly. A local friend of mine uses a drying rack and in our climate it's really easy to dry your weed to a crisp in that thing. These days he puts full branches in there to slow the dry time.

I use a mesh drying rack, few recommendations:
Don't blow air on the rack, but make sure air is circulating. I use a small 6" fan at the bottom of the tent just blowing at a wall.
I leave the buds on the branches in the rack for a week, after that I snip them into jars for curing.
            Works like a champ

I just hang everything up in my tent to dry. WORKS FOR ME, and no smell with the carbon filter!
