The square Samsung led arrays work good. I have two 65w ones in a 3x3x5 tent for two plants and more than enough. Used one 100w one until they got big. They have the full spectrum of LEDs and a switch for the red ones.
Cheap but non dimmable.Comment

And if the plant has 8 nodes, do you cut at the 6th

Ha, i just transplanted today from a small to 2 gallon and was wondering about the clipping too. But it is a small plant still.
What is your light schedule? Clipping will set it back a couple of weeks at least but you will get a lot more smaller bus.
There is also the FLIMMINg instead of pinching. I did one of each last grow and you get a different plant structure. I like the pinching myself and usually do it when the third or fourth set of leaves come out.
FLIMMINg is cutting just a bit higher instead of pinching, you actually want to cut above the pinching point and leave some of the leaf.Comment

Lol what a coincidence! I just went to a 3 gallon.
it’s an outdoor, and light schedule is about 14 and half hours daily here at the moment.
I read up on Fimming and Topping, but there’s just a few details I can’t seem to find.
I would prefer to top just as it will stay hidden out of view
from the neighbours.
I would go chop it now but I’ve read topping is highly stressful on the plant, so with the transplant and only
finding out it’s female 2 days ago, I just want to double

It's not too bad on the plant. it just takes a couple weeks for it to get fully over it but you'll have double the stems. if you want to keep it short then do a double clip.Comment

has pistils on it? The other parts of the plant
don’t have them just yet.

Are you talking about fimming or topping?
I wanna top, and I’ve read to do it at the 6th node,
so if I cut it there there’s 2 more nodes above it and
the very top one has pistils, so I’ll be cutting off 10cm
of plant but the pistils being there and nowhere else
worries me. Will pistils appear elsewhere??Comment

Just the tip. Then it ill start double branching and force growth on what is left. Either one is just the tip. No sense throwing away a node unless you really need to keep it short. Then your better off bending it over. And you can cut the tips off other branches too near the top.Comment

Ah so just cut off the stalk one centimetre above the 8th node and that way keep the pistils??Comment
