    Ro water

Hey folks, where can I find good reverse os. water? Where can I find a cheap filter? Is there a trick so that tap water can be used?

You don't need RO water. They're expensive and wasteful imo. If you don't need to drink it, why does a weed?

If you're dead set on it, you can buy a home kit for a few hundred bucks. Make sure you get cal mag.

Get yourself a ppm and ph meter. I use cheap meters. Try to get meters with temperature stabilization so you don't have to worry about temps throwing off readings and they're usually just a few dollars more.

I have 300 ppm, 8.4 ph tap water. I grow in dwc/drip with no problems. I do let my water sit out for at least 24 hours in an open container which drops my ppm to 230-250.

Check out my journal if you need more proof

Since we have two others on the boards here rocking the Grand Daddy Purple, I figured I'd show mine off. Day 18 from flip. Blimburn GDP feminized and a Gorilla

Nugs, do you need to account for tap ppm when adding calmag as far as suggested doses?

Get a Mr. Clean spotless rinse carwash adapter, the filter in side basically removes everything, and its cheap. just 16$ on amazon, google it, I'm sure you can find the thread, I was pleasantly surprised and ordered my own today as a matter of fact.

Don't know where you are from, but in my neck of the woods, RO dispensers are located outside a lot of our grocery stores. I started out using store bought spring water, but too expensive, so took to refilling the jugs at the RO machine.

I spend $12 a week on RO water. The girls are worth it.

I use a Brita- have no idea of the starting point but understand the Brita take out about 30% solids- At peak growth times: I get 1+" grow/day, so not concerned.
I would use a Zero water 23 cup filter, if I needed to change. It comes with a TDS meter- https://www.zerowater.com/

Many grocery stores have a RO water machine, to answer your question. I started hauling RO water from the grocery store, but wound up getting a 'activated charcoal' water filter and have seen no difference in my very limited experience. My PPM is about 80 coming out of the filter.
            completed 7 grows
what I have learned so far:
            environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

What kind if I may ask? I saw some for campers, active carbon filters, I could just put it on the end of water hose. Thanks for your input.

Mine is a Boogie Blue and is sold by the 'compost tea' company of the same name. When I got mine there was only one kind, I think, but now I understand that they have a couple options.
