Newbie Grow dinafem Critical + Autoflower 2 Plants

    Hello fellow growers

I've just started my first grow in an attempt to grow 2 Critical Autoflowers and hopefully harvest. My setup is in an outdoor shed and consists of:

    Strain- Critical + Auto Feminized

    Tent-60x60x1.4

    Medium- Plant magic soil

    Pots- 11L

    Lighting- 125w CFL-blue for vegetation

    200w CFL-red for flowering

    Side lights- 2x35w CFL Spiral

    Fan/Extraction-100mm systemair RVK sileo 100E2

Carbon Filter- 100mm Rhino hobby filter 300mm long

Small clip on fan 100mm 2 speed

    Nuets- General Hydroponic Flora series.

    Floragro, Floramicro and Florabloom

Well. I've made it into week 2 with my babies and so far so good. They don't seem to have run into any problems as yet. Or none I can see but only a newbie grower. Growth seems to coming along nicely and pots are starting to dry out now so started just a small watering of 100ml of plain water which has been stood for 24 hrs and had its ph adjusted to 6.1 the same as the initial pot watering before the seedlings went in. Temperatures seem to be running nicely at between 70 and 77. Nightly they have been slightly lower. Still running light cycle at 24hrs as I will continue throughout the Veg phase. Also have good air circulation running both small 4" clip fan at bottom of tent running continuously along with 4" inline extraction fan and carbon filter with variable controller in top of tent also running on a slightly higher than min speed continuously. All in happy with progress.

Please feel free to come back to me with any thoughts or advice.

You said you'll continue 24/0 light throughout veg, what about flower? Were you thinking of dropping the number of hours of light?

Autos need all the light they can get, I recommend 24/0 all the way through to harvest for the best results (in my opinion).

Hey, I have read that you can go 24hrs all the way thru, but was thinking of dropping that to 18/6 for flowering. if 24hrs is good enough for the whole grow i wil stick with it.

They look healthy to me, no stretching as of yet which means they have enough light. As far as your set up goes everything sounds great for your first grow. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Keep the updates coming my friend. As far as autos go, even in my current grow which in its final weeks of flowering, I have 2 autos & 2 photo period plants. Even having to adjust to 12/12 For the sake of flowering the photoperiods, the autos are still way ahead of them. So yes while agreeing that autos need more light, they still do fine with less.

Very nice crowd here, very open to sharing their grow secrets, and their well known stuff that noobies need, and some really crazy shit like feeding milk, but then backing it up with INCREDIBLE pictures of buds.

The little leaf with the bent tip in the middle picture? That looks like either it was damaged by handling or too close to a bulb or fan. No big deal, they leaf will continue to grow. I find that sometimes I'll damage a leaf when I'm training my plants, I can actually feel the leaf tear a little in my fingers, but the tear is very small and easy to miss if you don't look for it. Then it takes a few days for the tear to turn brown on the edges, or for the tip of the leaf to fall off.
