Hello and welcome back to The Slightly Immature Harvest! Round One - Quick Update

First of all we'll take a look at this cute little popcorn. We've put it in the oven to maintain moral

Plants had 24 hours of darkness before harvest. The climate is very dry, with an average of 35% some extra leaf mass is left to help slow things down. Finished with the 7 small ones in 1 gal pots. There's 8 big ones left in 2gal pots. The plan for now is to take many breaks and many samples and push through til the end. No awnsers given at this point.

Xialuz, I think I figured something out: the cat stole the extension cords and rolling papers: it's outrageous to even consider that you might have misplaced them in a stoned moment of reverie. And then the cat left you a mark.... not of zorro...

Breaking News! Our on-site reporter has dug deep into this urgent matter and tracked down a key person that got favorable intel on the operation

So Xaliuz, as we know you started harvesting your crop. Can you elaborate on why we haven't got any follow-up reports over the last three days?
    - Yes Ma'am, while and after the night trimming the plants a huge operation was initiated to ensure sufficient quality assurance. We sampled many samples over the last few days, this project has taken all our time. I'm proud of the workethic and dedication my companions have displayed, coundn't have asked for better teammates.

    What's status quo?
    - We've harvested 15 plants, all trimmed up and hung upside down, kept leafage with lots of trichomes. The drying station is at 43% RH and 64 degrees F which isn't optimal but it'll have to do for now

Did you get the anwsers your were looking for?
    - Not at all! After several days of investigating and sampling even more questions arose to our attention and confused us. The Alice Coopers LP - Welcome to My Nightmare didn't help either

We've noticed that you experienced quite a steep learning curve. Can you sum up what you've learned?
    - I'll try

First I learned not to over water and how a heavily overwatered plant can look like. And made a note to self: Water carefully after early repotting null

At the time I thought i had 34 photoperiod plants and Nebula explained what conditions best promotes females. 65-75F, 50-70% RH, 14-18 hour days, blue light, plenty of N, preventing stress and not overwatering is the notes i got written down on the subject.

Found out that 33/34 of the plants grew white pistils while on 24/0 and learned about auto flowers and possible scenarios of how bagseeds could be of the feminized autoflower kind.

Curing trim before using it is beneficial.

Timer for the heater broke and mended the problem with seaweed/kelp extract which seemingly worked as advertised. Plants drank big ammounts of water and actualy presented itself with nitrogen clawed leaves in mid flowering.

A week or so after the flowering started the ballast fried itself and was stuck with 2x250W CLFs for the 9 days it took for the new one to arrive by mail. This let me experience a wild wild sativa strech. Added this 125w outdoor light as a supplement. Learned that it's smart to have backup gear! The manifacturer replaced the broken ballast after testing it, but bought a new one aswell to get the growroom illuminated asap. null

Studied and experimented with how much light plants could take and what parameters involved in this. Scorched them a few times, for sure.

Enviromental tweaking has been a topic throughout the grow. Buildt, rebuildt and added components to the ventilation system as more and more light were introduced. Going overboard on this let me lightbleach the plants without them showing signs of heatstress.

Identifying plant gender and hermaphrodite traits is something i've got quite good at. Also been working on diminishing sucsessfull polination by herms with quite positive results. Note to self, start with good genetics.

After countless bumps in the road, mistakes and some bad luck I wanted study and experience how high doses of nutes they could take and how to correct it with a flush and see the recovery

Because of time problems I switched lights to 10/14 and noticed how this sped up the flowering process.

Tryed smoking premature buds and learned and felt the effect change as the plants matured.

US messurements. A table spoon is 15ml, teaspoon is 5ml. 30ml per oz.

Now trying to tune in the drying enviroment. Got all the equipment for curing each plant in individual containers to keep it all separated.

That was all we had time for tonight, any last words?

-This whole grow has been a journey. Learned so much, if it wasn't for the help and guidance that's been given here I'd only been smoking tobacco right now. Because of all the problems up til this point i knew this wouldn't be medical grade product and felt there wasn't too much to loose by experimenting with max levels of light/nutes. Also switched 1x600W HPS to 600wMH the last week. There's probalby more mistakes and learning opportunities that slipped my mind. After trimming i was left with 2.2 lbs of wet buds on stem. Thats not many grams / W when dried. Anyways. This will be a good summer Will add a few pictures of the harvest and some to show the progress. Thank you all.
