    What is my first node?

Since I really got into mainifolding, I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks. Where does one start counting nodes? I think it starts on the first three-finger leaf. Anyone?

That is how I count them. The cotyledons and first single lobed serrated leaves I call node zero.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

I start with the first set of leaves above the cotyledons. I think that's what you said...

I don’t count nodes anymore on my manifolds. Once the colas I’m keeping are about 2” long I make my first cut. There’s enough foliage by then to keep things moving along.
