What's the best strain for anxiety or depression?

Any growers on growweedeasy.com have insight into this?

I was wondering if there any breeders that specialize in genetics for anti-anxiety. Or if it is a strain by strain kind of thing.

Or is the effects more about how you grow the buds? Like the nutrients and supplements. I've read that harvesting buds later can make them more anti-anxiety, but I've also heard that anxiety can come from too-high THC, so in that case harvesting a bit earlier helps buds from being too strong.

Anyone successfully grown weed for anxiety and has strain recommendations or tips to share?

Granddaddy Purple or similar strains with high linalool terpene levels. This, like lavender, creates a calming effect. There are actually lavender oil extract pills with a formula called Silexan that create a similar calming effect, without the high.

Waiting longer to harvest they say creates a more couch lock sedative effect because of the breakdown of THC and higher cannabinoid levels like CBN.

Mental health is a serious topic and I advise talking to a medical professional on depression. There are options, tools, and changes in your life that can be made to find a more positive outlook in life. I don’t know where you’re from, but up here in Alaska MJ is legal and professionals don’t tell you no or that it’s the devil’s cabbage, so it’s safe to talk to them about your use and how to incorporate that into your life, along with therapy and potential psychiatric services.

I wish you the best of luck. Stay positive and you’re going to make it through and be stronger! Happy growing!

Hey thanks, I really appreciate that.

I feel like taking care of the plants might help a little.

I've read somewhere that having stuff to look forward to and keeping busy is the best way to combat depression, who doesn't look forward to good weed? As a painkiller weed does 0 for me but it does take my mind off of it. As apacin0 said above waiting longer to harvest is prob. the key no matter what strain you grow

I’ve found gentler strains come from plants harvested a bit later and grown with steady light, mild feed, and low stress. Calmer terpene profiles seem to show up with slower, cooler finishing.
