ID:	662016Hey yall. 1st time grower here. I’m growing this photo in a 5 gal fabric pot w/ Mother Earth. Feeding GH floraseries every other watering. I’ve been battling this ph issue for a few weeks now. The water going in is 6.2-6.5ph, but runoff is around 7.7, so Today I decided to try and flush her to lower the ph. After 28 gallons I’m still getting a run off of around 7.7. I’m not sure what else to do. The overall plants looks healthy besides these couple of leaves I had to snip today. Any insight is appreciated. Plant is in week 2 of flower

Which Mother Earth soil are you using?
    Auto or feminized?
Are those lowermost leaves that are turning?
    Visne explicare?

I really think that first time gardeners should use coco/perlite for their initial grow. Soil can introduce issues better confronted by more experienced.

That said, you have a huge amount of alkalinity buffering your soil. 28 gallons of pH'd water should have corrected your runoff. Cannabis is hugely adaptable. I'd finish this one out, and go coco/perlite for your next planting.

Yeah. If you did 28 gallons through 5-gallon bags, that's better than 28 waterings.
How long was the plant in veg?
If it's only the lower leaves, don't worry about it. It can happen as plants get older but is not a thing unless it starts creeping.
Can you post more pictures of the whole plant? I know you're new. Might be a little shy. But we like our weed porn and might see something you don't.

Oh hell!!! I don't see much wrong with that plant. She looks fairly healthy to me, I reckon, just keep doing what you're doing and don't worry about the odd lower old leaf, unless it starts affecting more of the plant and spreading etc.

If anything, I would gradually start a bit of defoliation to allow some airflow and light through,

10-4. You got some fine-looking dope coming along. Don't sweat those lower leaves. Losing the lowers is common. Don't sweat the runoff. Keep your pH between 6.5-7 going in and you'll be fine. No more veg nutes. Bloom from here on out.
If you are 2 weeks into flowering, check out the link and consider a 3-week defoliation. And check out the main website if you have not. Good stuff there.
            Looks like you got this.

thanks for replies. I’m going to defol on week 3 of flower which is this coming Monday. As for nutes, the GH flora is 3 part.

Just a side note I always think of when PH comes up. You got a nice grow there make sure you have a quality PH measuring device that’s properly calibrated.
Many people myself include start with a cheap Amazon one and cause ourselves unnecessary grief
KIS mix organic living soil from Black Sallow soils in 7gal. pots
Black Swallow Organic Bloom mix top dress before flower.
Reusing soil with Black Swallow nutrient pack between grows
                Maybe some compost teas
                Blumat watering system
Microbial Mass and other microbial boosters(Wallace)
                3x4x6’ tent
                Photontek 465wpro
6” AC Infinity outdoor air in and out, humidifier, dehumidifier, heater, oscillating fan.

I have a vivosun ph meter that I calibrated before testing runoff. I have an aphera meter coming today just to see if it may be my vivosun meter but I doubt it
