Can anyone tell me why my plant is getting these white spots on the leaves? It started around the time the flowering did. This was a bag seed that i started in late May, indoor grow, soil. I flipped it about 4 weeks ago and now it's getting al these spots and I don't know why.

You have white powdery mildew (WPM).
Immediately remove the affected leaves.
Follow that up with researching what sort of treatment you want: organic, inorganic or fire.

What caused it is the environment and the errant spore that took hold. In essence, shit happened.
You are in your 4th week of flowering. Around here, it is common practice to do a heavy defoliation at 3 weeks into flowering. Damage from a defoliation wise, you have more to gain than to lose. After the defoliation, take a look at prophylaxes like ventilation and circulation. You may not be able to pinpoint the cause, but you can eliminate some factors.
Whatever happens, clean the snot out of your tent and all the equipment you used in this grow.Open to suggestions.

Remove affected leaves. I would try potassium bicarbonate spray to slow the spread (read up on how and when). Raise your temps and lower your humidity under 45 Keep good air circulation.
If she makes it, be sure to set up a dehumidifier with proper exhaust. Air circulation is awesome. Try not to let your day and night temps spread too far... Clean.
If she doesn't make it, I'm sorry pal.... all the things most definitely still apply for next time and clean every bit of every single thing extremely well.

What DD said. remove everything that is infected with WPM and burn it or dispose well away from the grow. You may shock the plant but the WPM will infect the entire plant and render it unusable. If it gets in the buds it will cause terminal bud rot. Bud rot starts from the inside and works out. First sign is wilting and brown sugar leaves growing out of the bud. If you see it, remove the bud immediately. Break it open if it is brown inside it is rotten toast. Wash your hands after you do this. Not doing so will spread it. Once BR starts it is only mitigation and a race to salvage any harvest. Toss any suspect buds before drying.Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Does anyone know anyone who has tried the milk/ water mixture with success? Ir do I really need to invest in some potassium bicarbonate this late in the game? This sucks so much. It almost feels impossible to get every infected leaf. I feel like I'm stripping this plant bare. What's worse is that it seems to target the leaves closest to the bud sites and sugar leaves, which makes it an even more tedious task. I wish I had known what it was when I saw one or two spots on one or two leaves a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it was no big deal. You live and you learn I guess. 🤦♀️

I've had WPM twice and gave up both times. But that's me. I don't have the patience to deal with it. If you continue growing, I'll bet a dollar you will wind up throwing away plants. There is a pantheon of reasons for not making it to harvest.

They are nowhere near harvest. It will be an uphill battle to save them. If you started cutting as soon as it started they might have been saved. It sounds like you are just spinning your wheels. I usually tell people not to give up but in this case it might be better to cut and run. Clean everything well and start over. Keep humidity down and use lots of fans to keep the air moving. You can't have to many fans...

Thank you all. Looks like she's getting a "hair cut" then a milk/water shower and hope for the best. I dont have the bicarbonate stuff. The humidity isn't bad but it's always been a very bushy plant. No matter how.many times I defoliate it produces many leaves. I saw somewhere that leaves touching alot can cause the moisture issue. There are two fans on them ( I have 2) at all times. However, I am noticing now that the bigger plant, without buds, is taking up most of the breeze so I'll have to do some adjustments.

My fans are many, small, and cheap. I buy them by the dozen. In a 5x5 two in each corner, one on the bottom, and one on top down on the light drivers. Also a 8 inch exhaust fan.

But holly hell, these are now 3 times what I paid for a box of 12 this June. I would go with the 10 pack if I needed more.Last edited by Ckbrew; Today, 02:37 PM.Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.
