That looks like the start of a potassium deficiency to me. As it progresses the leaves will start to curl/taco.
The most common cause of that in soil is probably overwatering. A slightly high pH will also bring it on but you shouldnt have that issue in soil unless you are overwatering.
Drip irrigation in hydro is awesome, produces huge yields and is easy to manage.
