Sigh... I don't know, ductwizard. Here's a thing, if you don't know: In my experience, the idea of cannabis being a medicine is lost on me. I prefer actual science to bro science. If canna- is good for me, there needs to be some empirical data about side effects and dosing and such.
That's why I asked our friend Franklin for some of his CBD leaning seeds. I want to find out if CBD marijuana does for me what people say it does for them. I mentioned empirical data. Modern empirical data, I mean. Shit written in Sanskrit or in the 30's doesn't do it for me. And not written by either side of the pro or anti marijuana factions. I am also a true believer in the placebo effect. I'll go into my little experiment with an open mind but a background of skepticism. Maybe I can at least believe in the medicine.
How am I going to use it? Sigh... I don't know. No blasting and no alkey-hash. I loathe thinking about smoking flower, but it would last a lot longer than any extract I could make. Probably looking at dry sift and maaaayyybe static dry sift.
I almost don't care what's next as long as it has THC. Bonsai sounds real neat. I thought about it with Little Lucy after she was too far along. Space is my issue. There isn't enough space in a 3x3 for big plants and bonsai.
You got me thinking about a modified SOG.
Also been looking at cartel weed. All that shit a lot of us smoked back in the day was not trimmed, dried, trimmed again, and cured and burped in little jars before getting smashed into big bales. When I switched from cartel weed to chronic, there were things about the cartel weed that the chronic didn't have. I want to maybe find out what that's all about.

i remember the mex. weed as being very seedy and tasting like earth. i was just thinking i'd like 2 try some old skool panama red or colum. gold and see if its like i remember it. as for weed as a med. i'm a amputee, stuck for now, in a chair. i dont grow med weed. i dont even know if theres a diff. i dont think weed helps with my pain it just takes my mind off that and the boredom. as for your plans 4 ur current grow, what's the diff. between dry sift and static sift? can i use a mech device as a shaker?

Static sift is taking dry sift and rubbing over a mass of it with something like a rubber glove. Trichomes have a different electric charge than the leaf matter. Like how your hair wants to stick to a balloon when you rub it on your hair. Non-bald people, I mean. I can't hope to get the mounds of kief they use in the process, but golly does it sound like some good stuff!

On yer seven. This is a two-part post. This here post being the first.
First is about Little Lucy. Still no signs of flowering. For reasons we'll talk about in the next post, there was space to up-pot.

            Part two.
Heavy defoliation. What is left on the two back plants is covered in trichomes. Front right is struggling. Only in the past week has it put out any effort. Front left lost position in the tent for lack of effort and new leaf green colored leaves throughout the grow. It's a big, bushy plant, but not really interested in womanhood. Pictures 2 and 3.
Why another heavy defoliation? Because I am finding 4 large plants in a 3x3 tent need to be trimmed or I get a solid mass of leaves that block light and air and create condensation from overlapping leaves.
Well, I'm tired of defoliation. That is, I'm tired of having to remove what the plant needs to grow big and dopey.
So, next grow is lining up to be two manifolds. I think. Go back to my first grow with FFOF and the General Organics GOBox. Man, that was easy! Didn't even have to pH the water!
I'm also considering bringing out my 2x3x4.5 and getting two more plants going. I just have to convince myself to buy the light. I am the sort of person who buy's the best he can afford. I don't buy the cheap and Made in China brand goods. Something new for the 3x3 and move my HLG to the 2x3? Or save some money and get one for the 2x3?

Well it sounds like little Lucy is a photo period. That's great data to have. I've now cured and begun smoking my plant that was the same cross of orange Skittles with Aunt ginny's elixir, and even though the elixir is a balanced CBD, this weed is STRONG. Seriously, my girlfriend and I each took one to two hits a piece and then proceeded to do things that I probably shouldn't describe on this family friendly forum. Suffice to say, we both felt transported to a whole other place and it is now one of the best memories of my life. I hope that something similar results for you.

On the other hand, the two that were in the front are longer vegging. The one outside the tent (former front left) has started to do its thing and the front right looks like she's coming on worth her nutrients.
I live alone. I hope our experiences are different.

                Since we're here.
The apartment is starting to smell fruity. Maybe pineappley and orangey? Something bright. Definitely not that ubiquitous marijuana smell.
