I water my plants with a gallon each daily. Started giving a gallon daily starting September 6th. Missed 5 days. I want to stop watering about a week before harvest. My thinking is they would dry faster. However, I have not seen any data on this approach.

Is it growing in soil or coco coir? Coco Coir needs water every day, I dont think watering every day in soil is a good plan unless your flushing before harvest. But in my experience in hydro grows and a little bit in soil I dont recommend letting them go dry unless you want dry buds at harvest. Drying and curing are as important as how you grow.

My thought is, if possible the plant needs to dry slowly under a controlled environment. If the plant is fully hydrated at harvest in theory it will dry uniformly or somewhat evenly. If water is withheld for a week the plant will have already begun to dry and that will cause the plant dry unevenly. A week without water will stress the plant as well. A day, maybe two without water should not hurt and will slightly speed up the drying process, but that may be counterproductive to the low and slow dry method.Growing Autos and Photos, Gorilla Grow tents, AC Infinity fans, exhaust, filter, humidifier, and controller, HLG Lamps, 50/50 Coco/Perlite, Autopot system, BlueLab PH Controller, CX Horticulture nutrients
