Yes. Decarb if you are going to eat it.
Let's say you make brownies with cannabutter using the simmering water method. My boxed brownies bake at 350° for 28 minutes. It takes approximately 30 minutes at approximately 240° to decarb. Although your brownies reach 350°, how long are they at least 240°? You dig?
If you make cannacaps, you don't have to decarb. But if you want to get high, you have to decarb. Whatever your medicinal vs. recreational views are, some folks will eat raw dope for raw dope medicinal virtues while others prefer to medicate recreationally.
However you make your dope edible, it needs to be dried. Decarbing or drying raw weed with heat makes for a bad dope product.
I have recently found shatter for making brownies, but any sort of sugarless sauce or badder will work. It saves hours of work and mess, and you can dose it pretty accurately. Since that route probably isn't in your purview, my next harvest will be dry rub kief'd. A portion of the kief will be decarbed and added to a batch of brownies. Using kief still saves hours of work and mess, but you can't dose it without testing.

Yea dry it first, get rid of the chlorophyll taste. Won't decarb properly when it wet either. Curing is up to you and how long you wanna wait.

In my opinion, making edibles from cured bud is a waste of cured bud. Since you're decarbing it, terpene and other canna- retention flies out the window.
        Simple drying is good enough.

But I love the wonderful dank smell that fills the house during the oven decarb.

Oooh yea, when I used to use the oven the hole house got dutched out, open the door of the oven and inhale haha . I agree on the curing, all the flavour gets burnt off in the decarb in the decarb anyway.

yeah i'm gonna go with drying 4 a week to 10 days then decarb. since i suck at baking i'll get some caps and try that but most i'll prob. dry, cure and smoke. 1st outdoor ww's should be done in about a month. then 2 durban poisons and a cpl. g2f's grape ice cream 2 finish. after that i'll see if my street-lite prob. settles itself for the purple kush. wifes leaving 4 a month to go visit the fam in portugal and italy so i'm have a old fashion kegger next week. bring ur own mugs

          Hey, 'Wiz.
I think there is a tendency to overanalyze what we do with our post harvest stash. Frankly, my challenge is usually having WAY more than I could ever smoke. So, I save the best bud to smoke in pipe or bong and then make a bunch of pre-rolls with a Raw Six Shooter. The rest will be made into dry ice hash (easy and fun) or RSO (great application of those old chemistry labs). Both methods reduce the volume of raw bud to simplify storage. The hash needs decarbing first, baking in brownie mix won't do it well. The making of RSO self decarbs, although I will decarb it first if making a golden dragon MCT oil tincture (breaks down chlorophyl).
Dry it, cure it then decide what you want to do. I make chocolate edibles by melting those tasty, flavored chocolate bars from the grocery store and adding RSO. I wash 50/50 RSO/ethanol mix on the dough for edible chocolate chip cookies. The ethanol makes it easy to better blend in sticky RSO and bakes off in the oven. Read up, ask questions and experiment to learn techniques that best suit you.
