    When the light breaks

I've had my lHLG 360 Elite for 4-5 years now, and I'm wondering when it's going to break. Not just when but what about it will give out first: The driver or the quantum boards.
Which of the two is more likely to go out first?
When quantum boards fail, do they fail as a whole unit or do individual lights go out? It was obvious when bulbs went out on my first blurple LED.
If I go to replace one of the quantum boards, how do I know it will work with a particular driver, or vice versa?

Don't know, your talking about old school shit,if you can get LED lights go for it and a personal question, why do you have your plants on stands

I'll let others chime in about QB's vs LED's.
Plant heights are 28", 43", 53", and 55". The shorts wouldn't be getting much light without stands.

Just hope it's not in the middle of a grow in the middle of winter!
Why does the song "Stand by me" come into my head?

According to Google its expected to last between 50,000 and 100,000 hours.or 2080/4160 days, Did you mark the day you fired them up on a calendar ? Still have the receipt?
I did find this useful and I would think its good for any light
        Decreased brightness or light output.
        Flickering or inconsistent operation.
        Color shifts or degradation.
        Excessive heat from the fixture.

Yes ? I have no idea, I have never tried to revive a light, to me they all have a DNR and I respect that but I bet Google knows.
I would start with asking "What could be causing my HLG 360 Elite grow light to ........ and how do I fix it?"

Here's how to check your light without looking at them.
Use a magnifying glass of some sort, eyeglasses are good enough. Like focusing the sun through a magnifying glass, you can focus the light on your hand and see the individual bulbs.

most are rated for 50000 hours, that's 2083.3 days. some are rated better. boards are wires in series parallel so when a block goes out its noticeable right away (Board). if the driver goes first then bleed through starts and a small amount of voltage get through week gates and the leds (some or all) will glow when the light is off, may cause reveg, happens on cheap boards. Your HLG is a quality light and they still make them in a ECO version.

At 18 hours on, 2777 days. Roughly 7.5 years.
Then, what about that other question? How would I pair board to driver if I ever have to replace one or the other? I have a love-hate relationship with electricity. I know what an electrical fire is and have been electrocuted enough to know when not to do something myself without having someone else do it for me.

My guess would be that HLG would provide some guidance on what drivers would work.

if it has direct or terminal wired drivers you don't unless you can solder 48awg wire. if it has screw type or rca connectors the driver can re ordered from the manufactured., probably cost half the cost of a new fixture. at seven years i would look at a new one. growing weed easy but not cheap.
