    Growcast

Hi just brought a telos growcast to control both my 500w led lights I hasn’t turned up yet but just thinking will I still need to plug my lights into the timer box or will this now be obsolete so all I’ll need to do is plug light into wall sockets couldn’t find any info on telos site.

do you need the timer for anything else? will it hurt anything to use it anyway? why not use it? it's already paid 4

That’s a fair point it just seems odd to use contractor box and a telos timer so I guess I just set my contractor timer box to stay on permanently and let the telos switch my lights on or am I barking up the wrong tree…..

Telos controls the PPFD meaning it stays where you set it and it controls the light schedule. Be careful though the 1st one I got didnt have a back up battery so when the lights when off for just a moment the lights went out and it didnt go back to the preplanned schedule. I gave them a ton of shit over that but they sent me a new one and i have not had a problem sense.

And yes their website sucks, but if you get a real person they are helpful.

I’ve just been looking up the battery back up didn’t even think of that when I placed my order we get a couple of power outage’s a year so that’s important just read it’s backed up for 24hrs. The main reason for buying was to control my PPFD rather than use the app on my phone to take 100 or so readings every time I move the lights and I love the sunrise /set setting .Good to get some feed back from someone who uses one 👍👍👍
