    Bud Rot?

Anyone ever seen this issue before? A few of the buds have a white substance almost like a spider web. My humidity never runs above around 65% and temps never above 78’ish. It’s a soil grow and I’m in the end of week 7 of 8-10 on Blue Cherry Pebbles 70/30 sativa hybrid.

That's what it looks like. You got to find a way to get it below 60 RH, preferably 55 to 45 RH at this phase. Cut the infected buds off. If it's outdoors, I don't know what to tell you. It's 85 RH outside where I live. That's why I don't even attempt outdoors. It's so humid where I live that moisture still seeps through concrete and I have to run 2 industrial dehumidifiers just to keep a 4 x 8 foot flowering table and a 4 x 8 mother room at 45 RH.

So is the entire plant trash once you discover signs of bud rot or can the buds that are not showing signs be saved? It is an indoor grow and I’ve never run into this before but, of course, these buds were looking tight and spectacular and now I’m fucked. How frustrating!

Yup. Cut it off fast. watch for more. Consider chopping them. Inspect all buds carefully and toss anything with rot of fuzzy stuff. You also might want to wash the buds in a peroxide solution before drying.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Harvest it and dispose of what buds have mold. Inspect dried buds again. Bad juju. I chop burn myself.

Thanks for the assist all! I’ve chopped the infected plants completely; dipped for ten seconds in 5gal of distilled water with 1/2 cup peroxide and 1/2 cup baking soda; rinsed twice with regular water and now they are hanging in front of a fan. My plan is to try to dry and cure normally once they are dry from the baths. Can the resulting weed be smoked or used for edibles?

Ive heard of ppl cooking with mouldy weed without complaint as well but I've only thrown the odd mouldy bud into the blender not a whole cook up. Everyone's worst nightmare ay. I'm feeling for ya.

Only if there is no rot or mold on them. Trimming off all those fan leaves will help air circulation which will help deter mold.

If you suffer from any type of lung condition or an immune condition dispose of all buds. It can kill you. If not do as you please. The rot will be pretty much throughout the bud, you're only seeing the tip of the iceberg. You know this when you smoke it...trust me. Ive done it. It's absolutely crap to smoke.

Anything above 60% RH and rot should be expected.
