Bending the two tall plants blocks light to the two shorter plants. Damnit!
I have two options: Stay the course or pull the top off my tent. Damnit!
I hate having decisions to make that dope can't help me with. Damnit!
The two back plants are twins. The two fronts look like they came from different planets.

is it possible to pull the top without ruining the tent or is it a one and done thing?

Blowed out the top and got me 16"-18" distance. If there's any more growth, I have a disappointing Michael Crichton.
And since the whole thing is sitting on casters, it's wobbly enough to absorb all but the most severe earthquakes.

Great work dawg. Where there is a will there is a way, or something like that. Hit some dabs and feel good about it.

Sounds like you got some phenos from the genos showing in the front of the now open top tent.

Don't get me wrong. Technology can be the bee's knees. Life saving. Food producing. Energy making. Information gathering. But there is a growing group of people who want to cheat and steal with technology. They are challenging the trust of pretty much every person who picks up a communication device. I have a special hatred for liars, cheaters, and thieves. Beggars, too. There is also the burgeoning generation of entitled young dickheads who like to walk around with their cameras in front of themselves to video whatever bad happens in the world. I have a special hatred for them, as well.
The one picture I have ever posted of myself online was actually posted on this here forum. Not Dabberdog me. The other me. But it was deleted some time ago.

Neoanalog will be the next revolution! You heard it here first. Watch for the bumper stickers.
Be poor and insignificant like me. The US government doesn't care about me, and I don't have anything for anyone to steal. Geez. Saying that out loud like that is a little more depressing than just thinking about it.
My USG experiences have been pretty much in my favor. It's people that bring me down.

the last time i used a cc online purch. was from i-49 seeds and some fucker used my card to place $500 worth of bets on an online sports deal. when i tracked it back to them they're response was pretty much --oh well sucks to be you. in my younger days i would have road tripped there and got recompense. moral of the story is NEVER DO BIZ WITH I-49 SEEDS and do everything analog

Was about to have five books piled up and realized it was getting too hokey.
Got to jumping around on my couch and screwed a bracket to the ceiling since I don't have any proper screw hooks or eyes.
Top of the bamboo pole in the back left bag is 48" from the top of the soil.
Blew out the side panel because... damnit! These fncking plants won't stop growing!

This is the same landlord who uses red duct tape to replace an elevator call button cover. Been over a year.

        Time to get serious.
How the hell do I get my plants to stop growing? Would cutting the light from 18/6 to 12/12 help?

6.5 week old autos? Then this is the stretch right? They will probably stop soon. Switching to 12/12 shouldnt hurt it because autos don’t follow the hormonal switch like photos, if it was me id hold on and trust the stretch is almost over. I did the pinch and bend and that worked great. I’m assuming someone must have mentioned tying her down and that must be a no go for some reason. They look great, can’t wait to see the bud porn😉😁

Cutting buds is... what's the word... counterproductive? Yeah, counterproductive. I'm growing dope so cutting out what I'm trying to grow is counterproductive. Like cutting the t-bones out of the cow before harvest.
It's too late for the bends. Bending the back ones would cover others which is also counterproductive. I am already training the fronts out the tent.
In my experience, in my tent, the way I've grown, the stretch should be over, and I should see some embiggening. But I have never grown OG Kush so what I know is moot. Maybe they are still stretching? A scant info search says 75ish days for harvest. I'm well past the half-way point. This is going to be longer than 75 days. I know, don't believe everything you scantily read.
Now that I blew open the tent I have the space. But it's a right pain in the ass to raise the light. Because of the stud location I screwed the bracket to I can only go left or right with the light, not front and back. My tent is stuck where it is. All I can do is pull them down and out.
I think I'm just whining. Bad night sleep, or something. Everything is growing along just fine. Nice and healthy, wot?

So you screwed the bracket in the stud and you are well past the half way point. I wouldn't be able to sleep either. So long as it is still growing and healthy I think you're good.

So the gap to light is about 14-15" at this point? I know you raised your light but I can't see how it's hung from the ceiling. Are you using the cable wrapped wire it came with? Searching for the same solution I switched out that for a shorter length of chain link, gained a few inches.

Oh, and a tip 'o the hat to ya dawg, I never once thought that participation on this forum would embiggen my vocabulary. Well done.

            That's not a grow tent that's a grow room.

          #28
Do ya have an extra rope ratchet? Looks like there’s some room to raise the light some more.

No ratchet. There's still plenty of room. But I have to move the tent out of the way and my couch under the light to move it. I've had to adjust my furniture to get the tent where it is.
Why can't the front right, back right, and back left be more like the front left? That's a reasonable size plant. Stupid phenotypes.
            Someone needs to clone seeds.

I was thinking about all of that disc stuff and jumping around. I don't have any of that going on but try to be mindful. Seems like there's a way to do it without a bunch of jumping around and should allow you to raise/lower the light from the ground. Can you make a loop between the two wire hangers? Run some more of that light hangin' rope your using through the eye on that DIY ceiling bracket and tie that onto the loop you just made. Pull from the ground and secure the line to something.

Screwing that bracket into the ceiling musta been a sight. Were you dabbing?

Threaded the rope through the bracket before mounting and balanced the screw and bracket on a magnetic drill bit so I could do it one handed.
The light was on top of the tent so all I had to do was thread a single side with rope to secure it, then use the other side to pull it up. I don't know how well you can see it, but I use a knot that allows me to pinch the knot in one hand, then unsecure, lift, and resecure with the other. It's a modified double half-hitch. It probably has a real name, but I don't really care.
Of course I was dabbing. Edible'ing, too. I am more the placebo effect and the misguided use of medicinal marijuana. But I recently found shatter brownies to be great pain killers or muscle relaxants or swelling reducers or whatever the hell they're doing.

I like it...getting it done. That's kind of what I was referring to, using the bracket as a fulcrum.

That jungle burst it's tent. Stretch or not they still gonna grow outward. Give it up just break up the tent and move the jungle into the room. Are they dank yet?
