    Simply Kush

    3 weeks going on.
This is OG Kush. Not Kushberry. Not Kushkarushka. Not Kushyomama. It's just Kush. The OG designation means nothing to me because it is definitively undefined. I could go with Ocean Grown since I can see the ocean. But that's a stretch.
Had a battle with leaf miners. It's moth time and I've seen some creepy looking ones I do not recognize and a leaf in the lower right plant looks to have been munched on. Got the fans going and haven't had issue.
Lower right has an additional Scarlet Runtz planted 6 days after the others as a precaution against an underdeveloped OG Kush that has since gotten its act together.

Tried my hand at Kush a few times. Most seemed slow and delicate and all were short. Do Indicas seem more difficult to cultivate?

I've only grown Indica and Indica dominant. For the past few years all I've grown is Going2fast seeds. I believe those have all been Indica leaning and some have maxed my tent height. From what I understand, a straight Kush is going to be short and bushy. Don't know about delicate. Don't really know what a delicate pot plant is. I treat all mine the same because I am limited of options and knowledge about what strain wants 12.5 of something and what strain wants 12.6.
Until I marry rich or win the lottery, they all my bitches and all gonna get the same treatment! Word to your mother!!

I have grown Indicas and Satva's and a Kush is usually a hybred cross leaning one way or the other, my favorite to grow and smoke, they have also been the biggest yeilders too. Misty Kush was my favorite until Nirvana switched the parents around but kept the strain name the same

nice lookin' plants. Whatcha' feedin' em? I like the clean tips and healthy green. Is that your water bottle I see?

          #6
Thanks! I've been using Botanicare since going coco. However long ago I bought a gallon of their veg nutes. Several years. The dose is only a teaspoon per gallon, and I still have 1/4-1/3 gallon. But I've gone through multiple bloom bottles. Until my current veg bottle runs out, I get down with Botanicare. Also, their Cal-mag and bloom enhancer.
Fans got rid of leaf miner laying insects and whatever chewed on a leaf. The modern miracle of wind, wot?
If you are looking at the water bottle in the lower right then yes, it is my watering bottle. Mix 2 gallons separately and use the bottle to dose out. The hose lets me get to the back with minimal ruffling and bud touching.

They're autos. 18/6 and open tent the whole time. Not a lick of real darkness. Bestest reason to grow autos! No way I could reasonably expect to grow fem until shorter days and southwest setting sun.
Now, I'll start mixing a little bloom nutes with the veg and transition to full bloom by week 5.

Wow that is a good size for an auto just barely or maybe not showing signs of flower.

The sizes are wonky. Willy wonky. The shortest (front right) is a full 12" shorter than the taller two in the back. Front left is 8" shorter. I need to pay more attention when I shuffle the plants around after they sprout. The backs always seem taller than the fronts, but the fronts get more light because of my front door.

Found a moth. Might be a palm flower moth. Makes sense since there are flowering palm trees out my window, across the street, down the block, on the neighbor's balcony...
          Best picture I could get.

Mad photog skills dawg. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, Gingers can do anything.

          5 weeks.
This is the widest height range in a strain I've had. Back two hit 3' before getting the bends. Front right is still rocking two LST'd plants. Front left is what I thought a Kush is supposed to look like. Light is as high as I can get it. Gonna be pushing HLG's minimum distance recommendations.
Half a gallon a day. Still finding moths and moth eatings.

That kush plant, do you mean wide node spacing? What's a kush supposed to look like? That bottom pic looks like two plants in one pot?
Yeah, I had to ditch the HLG recc's in my current grow...they won't care.

Well, so, I thought Kush plants were going to be like the one in the front left. It's bushy and most everything that's worth porn is on the ends of the stems. If the two in back were a foot shorter, I wouldn't be in my current kerfuffle. Maybe three of my past grows have pushed my light height limit. All others have been closer to front left.
While writing this, I looked up grow info on OGK. Back two are typical height. It's the fronts that aren't pulling their weight.
Front right pot (bottom pic) is two plants. Left began as the OG Kush runt and was supplemented with a G2F Scarlet Runt(z). I just realized the irony. Is that irony? Maybe just happenstance.

Oh. My bad. I thought the twofer was the one on the left but I see the camera angle now. IDK about happenstance but two runtz together? The possibilities are endless.

In the first picture, the runt and Runtz are on the right. They're on the left in the second. Third picture is the full monty.
The runt of the OG Kush is a laid down Sally at 16", if you follow the trunk.
