Holy sheepshit (Cheech) look at these a day later than my last photo. It’s like the plants are reaching towards the sun!

I’m kinda limited on how much sun these guys can get. I can move the plants around during the day to give them about an hour of more sun, but that’s it. Anything I can do to make them veg more? I’ve got some 6-4-4 FoxFarms GROWBIG and 3-2-2 TPS HERBS & LEAFY GREENS PLANT FOOD.
6-4-4 and 3-2-2 are basically the same thing? The ratios are the same

they are reaching for the sun, if you only get limited sun they stretch trying to get more. as for your nute. question i'm gonna say it doesn't work like that and they're not the same, the ratios are the same but the strength would be dbl. read the fine print as i'm def. not a science guy. they look good and healthy

Outdoors, yeah? Here's a thing about growing outdoors: You have the best light on the market.
People trim to open up the plant for circulation and so light can get to the lower branches. I'm not saying don't defoliate an outdoor plant. I'm saying it isn't as necessary as for indoor plants.Ohm... dab... ohm...

Just keep rockin' what you're rockin'. You didn't say they were autos when you broke down the strain so I assume they are not auto.
Flowering will start when the light drops to, what, 14 hours of daylight? Not sure when outdoor people start flowering nutes. Better ask an outdoor person.Ohm... dab... ohm...

Yea don't stress about defol on those girls, you can see straight through them, so can the sun and wind. Because they in pots I'd personally start with bloom nutes same as indoor, when you start to see hairs... When straight in the dirt you have much more forgiveness with feeding and watering.

EyesOfTheWorld about those reflective surfaces. The short answer is mirrors are bad light reflectors because they create hotspots.
This is the long answer.

Day 59. Look at my girls! For this photo I got off my ass and stood. I had to zoom out just to fit them in frame.
I’ve been doing some moderate pruning to get rid of any yellows (not many) or energy wasters. Tomorrow I’m pulling out the ladder to prune up top just to improve airflow. I’m starting to think about what sort of equipment I’ll need in the future. I don’t want to run fishing wire around my house for drying. With three plants I’m going to have more work than I want all by myself. A trim party isn’t likely either. I was looking at those circular expanding drying baskets. I’m just not sure what to do. I’ve got someone who’ll lend me their trimmer.
oh well, at least I’ve got some fine looking ladies
ETA: Look at the middle girl, she’s got that bush hanging off her left side. I thought of trimming it, but she gets sun there. Shouldn’t I leave it for it to give up her buds?1 PhotoLast edited by EyesOfTheWorld; 07-29-2025, 07:08 PM.
