We're off topic? Are you new here? You are conversing with a bunch of dirty, dope smoking ne'er-do-wells, and scofflaws with clinically measurable levels of dead brain cells and poor short-term memory. It's going to happen.
But it is very much related to your original idea of wanting to get more bang from your bud. Why do it? How much difference is noticeable? Is it worth doing? We can't just answer a question and stop. Once a bunch of answers get thrown out, we go improv.
Or maybe I'm just the kind of high that sees how it all comes together.

It's all a dark puzzle that surrounds a myth that drying your cannabis in the dark for two days before harvest will increase your THC levels. Me, I'm just glad to have a new spot for a different cultivar under the light and one in the closet ready for execution.

When I worked for hippies up in Humboldt in the 90's they used to do this. When I started working for licensed grow ops the staff botanists would laugh at me when I mentioned what I had learned. The takeaway from all the shame was that when the lights go out photosynthesis stops and the plant will start distributing the energy it made for the plant so that when there is available light for photosynthesis the energy needed to complete the chemical reaction is there but that only goes on for less than a day so going beyond that just stalls the plant. There question to me was "Why would you want to stop 2 or 3 days of more growth?". When I told them the hippies told me that it raised the THC level.....well....another round of laughter. Apparently they were of the belief that THC levels are genetically determined for the most part and the little we could do to raise it was dubious at best.

As far as Dab, if you got an extra $250,000 laying around this machine will do a great job at extraction! Took this pic at my buddies old extraction lab.

He sold it to a large cultivator client that wanted to be more vertically integrated. Now he lives on a boat in the Bahamas and consults for other labs.
