    The Great Pink Migration

Here are the two surviving Stinky Pinks from Going2fast. They were started by a ginger bearded fellow before Black Thursday when he got hacked and had to meld with the great beard in the sky. Their tent got taken down and were moved to the balcony for impending apartment reflooring. Best I can tell, these are 10 weeks old, today.

With a wave of my wand... poof... you now have my problems. First thing I suggest is taking a shower to get some of it off.

      's like this.
The current manager and maintenance people have known about the concrete and weather stripping for ten years and I have proof. The weather stripping had been replaced, once, incompetently because it was put on in pieces instead of single strips. The wrong size strip was also used so it overhung the frame and got peeled off just by brushing against it. The door was installed so out of whack that layers had to be put at the bottom of the frame.
After about 6 years with the current c-word manager, I stopped asking for any repairs because for the 6 years I asked, her answer was always, 'We've been busy.' or they were waiting to hear from someone else. Fucking lying to my face. Such a c-word.
What it took was for HUD to do one of their inspections. She pointed out some wearing in my carpet, which was cool because I didn't consider it. Why the hell would I get new carpet if they won't fix the floor or weather stripping, right? She asked if there was anything else and I showed the door and floor. Had HUD not gotten involved, nothing would have been done.
This building is designated for low-income veterans, first. Low-income everyone else, second. Low-income in San Diego means the market price for my 435 square feet is $1800. Figure, 12 years ago I was the first to live in my apartment. $800 rent. Property value has probably tripled since original construction. But that doesn't mean their mortgage payments have gone up. God, I hate people who make money on other people without helping the people they take money from. I'm a capitalist who hates capitalism.

... and it won't just be replacing the floor covering. They've put this off so long, the flooring people won't touch it without the building contractors who replaced all the exterior concrete do something about my concrete. Other apartments have the same issue, but tenants are too big pussies to say something about it. This is not something a float will take care of, and I will raise hell if that is their solution.
DabberDog and his dog Dabber are probably going to get another temporary forced eviction because of lazy, incompetent, and greedy people.

May gray here in So Cal has had me keeping my solo cup seedlings indoors under the lights, but today the sun is out so they've been moved to the balcony for the real deal. Only doing a few plants this year. Changing things up a bit this season and trying my hand at growing Afghan poppies. So far it's been challenging to say the least..

My balcony stopped getting direct light a couple days ago. They're spending their last few days in the MG. Shade ripened weed. It's going to be the next big thing.
