    SOIL New Grow

Been waiting at the window all morning 🙏🏾

Starting 3 of these girls today. I'll try and take pics and update the grow along the way.
Please add any advice ( or criticism) as I'm always looking to improve my gardening abilities and most importantly the end result.

Warmed up rainwater in microwave now to soak seeds overnight.

Sacred seeds. I messed up the first lot from this site so not sure on how their genetics are but they are a gnarly looking seed.
In the past I was getting them from the u.s but got sick of customs taking them.

Careful with the heat during germination and seedling stage.Soil born pathogens increase with temperature. 70-75 is the safe spot. If your heat may has a setting use the lowest one. I've cooked too many beans on them damn things and stopped using them. Blue dream is a good strain. It originated in California , 72-77 temps with light constant variable winds.

Thanks man, I did think a few weeks ago when I was trying to pop a few random bag seeds that I may have cooked a couple once in the paper towel, the heat mat is holding the water at 25c = 77f overnight and today once these 3 are in the paper towel I'll just them in a high position in the lounge room where they will stay at around 21c = 70f until they ready to go into pods then into grow room... ??

PS I'm in Australia so it's starting to get cold especially where I live it's been below (70) for the last week and the nights have been getting down to ( 42) . Heaters on, = electricity bill 😱😩

The "chances" of soil born pathogens increase. You want know. The chance is still there. It's like juggling with hand grenades, do you want to, hell yeah but should you. Probably not. PAZ

Haha ok. ( This is where I think using different medium or going back to DWC )
        But nah,
I do think I need to change a couple of things to lower the chances, firstly no more transplanting in or keeping spare soil laying around in grow room! Secondly before I put these girls in room I'm gonna give it a good clean out, mop the floor and walls with bleach mixture.... ?

Wait for the bean to split and tap root to show. Keep it dark and slightly warm. Dig that groovy plate Aussie

So 43 hrs after paper towel I have 1 clear winner ( although that hooked tap root gonna be a bit delicate when placing in peat pod) the seed above it looks like it might be trying to open and the other one nothing. Overnight the paper towel pretty much dried out so I moistened again and will keep it going for a couple more days for the 2 that haven't cracked and see what happens, I've also put the remaining 2 seeds that I kept aside in rainwater to soak and this time I'm not going to use heat pad just leave at room temp: 21-24c . Fingers crossed that I get 3 out of the 5 going,
I smoke about an Ounce a week and at 370usd for a Oz of half decent indoor bud it's really not affordable when I gotta buy it in between harvests.

She's got a long middle finger. Blue Dream can be a big girl if treated right. She can go a long time in veg, 6 weeks without loving plucking and I bet 2 foot before flower. I wouldn't pay 370usd for a fukin airplane let alone dope.

And yea you can see why ending prohibition would help our socio middle and lower class ppls with cost of living etc etc especially us tokers.

I've got these two regular seeds going as well for test Dummies and to have a go at sexing ( once plant got 5+laterals either flip to 12/12 or in my case I'll have to take out of room and use sunlight, wait until it shows hairs or balls and then either put back in room at 18-6 top it and hope it goes back to veg) I know the bigger ones mother was Afghan Kush and the bloke reckons it might have been pollinated from a near buy hemp farm but hopefully not.
I've also finally worked out that the seed and cutting mix I'm using is absolutely crap for drainage and air retention, I was pulling my hair out over the fact that I usually don't have much trouble getting them going and yet I been having so much trouble with the last few with overwatering I was thinking maybe I am loosing the plot. Last night the one in the green pot was so droopey I thought it was stuffed so I drilled holes in pot for one last try at revival and this morning ta daa ... Leaves slightly tacoing maybe from being so Water logged and now drying out or maybe from to much light so backed light off from 300 ppfd to 250. See how it looking tomorrow.

Look wet and droopy. To much loving. Temp in Australia should be up in the 60 s at night. Getting 14 + hours of sun now.
