    Autoflower seedlings lighting

i am following the format suggested by NH and starting seed directly in large fabric pot.with clear plastic cups Oat milk covering. I have Mars Hydro 4800 light. How bright/close should it be to pot surface?

Hello aoxomoxoa I'm not familiar with NH so I'm not exactly sure what you're referencing with the oat milk. Have you checked the Mars Hydro web site? Generally speaking hang your light a minimum of 24" from the seedling. You might go as high as 30". Dim it to the lowest setting and watch the seedling to see how the light is affecting it. If it stretches toward the light, lower the light. If the leaf tips turn down and brown, raise it a little bit. Don't worry so much about intensity if that's a concern. At that stage of growth spectrum is more important than intensity.

You're gonna hurt Nebula's feelings if she sees that.

Also, i dont know what i meant about “oat milk covering”
GWE has a tutorial about 5 steps when growing Autoflower. NH suggests starting in the pot it will end in.
Including covering g\erminating seed with clear plastic cups.

Mars' website has great information about their lights.

Hey! This is my official 5000'th post! Pretty anticlimactic. Seems there should be a little more wisdom in it.
    C'mon, mule!

Really, it's about quality, not quantity. How many of my posts have been beneficial to someone growing weed vs. how many posts have I made about Going2fast 's socks?

NH = Nebula Haze, duh! I guess that's what I get for being high in the morning. Sorry Nebula. She suggests starting autos in the final home in the interest of time because the transplant shock may slow their growth.
