Seedlings will handle quite a bit of light. At that stage though I guess is early veg I'd be looking around 350 to maybe 400. If you are using an uncalibrated phone though it can be out a lot so if the plants are happy keep it going.
Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains

Topped today. Did some trimming. Will trim again 1 week into flowering. Right now, recovery. I'm planning on going 12/12 the 31st. That will be 30 days exactly from seeds cracking to 12/12. Ppfd still at 500. They don't like the high ppfd like my Girl Scout Cookies. I might just go 600 for flowering and leave it at that. 500 for veg is max for these girls. For those that know you can see the signs. Vdp is around 1.2. Which is higher than I would like, but I'm fighting temps. I have to sacrifice the .8-.9 vdp over having high temps. So, been steady at around 1.25 and 82f at canopy level. I can increase humidity, but temps will rise. So they seem OK and happy at that number so I'm not gonna panic. I got OCD so I'm particular. They were hitting the 11" mark and on like 6 node, so I topped. BUT, did not top the front right plant. She was a runt since germination. So I let her be, and hopefully she'll catch up to her sisters..... I included a pic of them in the dome, and look at the runt. She's the front, right plant. Didn't top. Feeding 1/2 tbs of unsulphered organic molasses per gallon of water.....Last edited by Radeon; 05-13-2025, 02:34 PM.

I won't know till I go into flowering. That is just a prediction. 1000 ppfd from what I understand needs additional CO2. Even my GG4's topped at 800. Without additional CO2, the increase in ppfd is useless. Its like increasing hp in a motor without added cooling and air/fuel. And they are Indicas. Granddaddy Purples are Indica dominant. 1000 ppfd is in my opinion, worthless unless you can supplement with the addition of a C02 generator.....The plants will tell me. If they don't like high ppfd, I'll see the signs No need for me to go to a forum to find answers.......Last edited by Radeon; 05-13-2025, 03:42 PM.

I gave the indicas which I suspect are also sativas about 800 to 900 on the canopy and they were fine. That was the Frankie goes to Hollywood grow I did with mostly OZ x SD.
1000 PPFD on the canopy on 12/12 is fine without CO² and the top colas will get much more. But its really hard to get the nutes right. Two grows ago my sativas were getting as much as 1350 PPFD on the largest central cola tops which was their absolute max without CO². They started to fox tail and I was also struggling with nute issues showing on the top canopy leaves, lots of rust spots, losing pigment etc, but the colas were huge and fully developed.
I'm switching to bar lights and slowly doing away with quantim boards as I won't have to give it crazy intensity in the middle trying to get good light out to the sides.
