    PH charts and test strips

In todays issue the chart shows '7' neutral as green and test strips show as light green. Chart shows '5' as light green. Test strips show '5' as orange. Test strips are yellow. GH kit shows '6.5-7' as yellow to light green. My water tests yellow '3' on todays chart and '6' on test strip chart and '6-6.5' on GH chart. Are charts accurate?

Buy a PH meter in fact buy 2 so you can cross check, you have too much time and $ invested to go cheap on something as important a PH monitoring

The color charts are specific to the strips. Use the chart that comes with the strips.

Apera PH60 (measures pH and temp) or Apera PC60 (measures EC as well)
          Calibration fluid
          Storage solution

Do not waste you money on the Bluetooth Z version.

These testers are the best your money can buy

Get the storage solution and calibration fluid from there also.

Don't try measuring rainwater, distilled water or other demineralised water. On its own it cannot measure the pH of that.

Look after it and you'll replace the tip about every year or two. The pen will last your lifetime.
